Steps:
- Stir ketchup, brown sugar, water, and dry onion soup mix together in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring regularly, until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.

AUNT CINDYS RED SAUCE
Steps:
- Heat a large pot to med high. Add olive oil, a few tablespoons, and sausage. Brown on all sides and remove. Add meatballs saute till brown and remove. Add more olive oil if needed and saute onions 5 minutes. Add garlic, be careful not to burn. Add cans of tomatos and paste(I add a can of water for every 2 cans of tomatos) Add herbs, salt and pepper to taste. Add wine and cheese if you'd like. Bring to a boil and simmer, returning sausage and meatballs to pot, for at least 2 hours.
AUNT JEANNIE'S HARD SAUCE
My great-aunt Jeannie (from Scotland) made this each Christmas to serve with my grandmother's plum pudding and mince pies. She always put in a fancy glass bowl and then used red and green maraschino cherries, cut in half, to made a Christmas tree on top. My sister Carol is now in charge of making this each holiday. Mincemeat tarts would just not be the same without it! (Number of servings is appx)

Steps:
- Using an electric mixer (MUCH easier than by hand as my aunt did), beat butter until creamy.
- Add sugar and blend well; stir in milk.
- Add brandy and vanilla, one teaspoon at a time to prevent separation.
- If sauce begins to separate, add more sugar.
- Turn into serving dish and decorate, if desired.
- Chill.
AUNT VI'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE
I've had friends make this recipe without the bacon and it just isn't the same. If you'd like to cut fat, use turkey bacon and decrease the oil and butter the onion is sauteed in. Adjust the amount of tomatoes/puree depending on how thick you like your sauce. May use Italian sausage instead of ground beef, but you may need to adjust herb quantities.

Steps:
- Saute onion in oil and butter.
- Add ground beef and bacon and brown, add garlic and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add wine and season with red pepper, basil, fennel, oregano and chopped parsley.
- Add tomatoes, puree, paste, carrots and celery.
- Simmer at least 30 minutes.

- Meatballs. Ingredients. 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs. 1/3 cup milk. 1 pound ground turkey. 1 pound ground sausage (I like Bradley’s fresh ground if you are in Tally)
- Meatball Subs. No real recipe for this one. We do this for another dinner later in the week or for lunch. I use sub rolls and cut them down the center. Place meatballs in microwave safe bowl and cut meatballs in half.
- No Boil Lasagna. Ingredients. 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil. ½ onion, chopped (I use Publix frozen chopped onion) 1 teaspoon garlic. 1 pound ground beef, ground turkey, or ground sausage (or no meat at all)
- Simple Baked Chicken Parmesan. Ingredients: 1/3 cup dry panko breadcrumbs. 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese. ¾ teaspoon Italian seasoning. ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
- Pizza. No recipe needed here. I have been buying the Publix pre-rolled crust found in the bakery section and it is super easy and good. Simply lay out the crust, top with some of the homemade tomato sauce, whatever toppings you enjoy, and top with mozzarella or Italian shredded cheese.
- Simple Spaghetti with Sauce. This one doesn’t really require a recipe either. This sauce is so tasty that it is really good just on a bed of spaghetti noodles.
