BAKED PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES
This is my favorite baked pork chop and apple recipe that my friends and family just love to death whenever I make it for them. If possible marinate chops in teriyaki sauce, honey, Gulden's® mustard, black pepper, and garlic for at least 3 hours, or overnight.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add pork chops and cook until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper, about 5 minutes per side. Place pork chops in a large ceramic casserole dish.
- Add applesauce, chicken stock, ketchup, brown sugar, flour, vinegar, and garlic pepper to the skillet with the pork juices. Stir until thickened and smooth, about 5 minutes. Place sliced onion and apple on top of pork chops; pour applesauce mixture on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the pork reads 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), about 45 minutes.

Steps:
- Peel, core, and slice the apples.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt the butter in a skillet.
- Brown the pork chops on both sides in the butter.
- Grease (or spray) a large baking dish.
- Put the apple slices in the bottom of the dish.
- Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar over the apples.
- Place the pork chops on top of the apples.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 and 1/2 hours.

- Sprinkle pork chops with salt. In a large skillet, brown chops in oil; set aside. Place apples and raisins in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. SIMPLE PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES RECIPE

- Gather the ingredients. Heat the oven to 350 F.
- Arrange the apple slices in a buttered 13 x 9-inch baking dish . Sprinkle with the cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper, then brown on both sides in the butter. Transfer the pork chops to the prepared baking dish, arranging over the apples.
- Add the apple juice, cider, brandy, or wine to the hot pan; swirl and scrape up any browned bits. Pour over the chops.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until pork chops register at least 145 F-the minimum safe temperature for pork -on an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a pork chop.

- Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 400 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the parsnips in the center of the baking sheet and drizzle generously with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss with 3 sprigs of thyme. Spread the parsnips into an even layer leaving an empty space on both sides. Roast until the parsnips become tender and begin to brown in spots, about 20 minutes. Use tongs to give the parsnips another toss.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and push the parsnips closer together in the center of the pan. Core the apple and cut it into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Place the apples on one side of the parsnips, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with the cinnamon. Pick the leaves from the remaining 2 sprigs thyme and sprinkle them on top of the apples. Lay the pork chops on the other side of the parsnips and brush with the Dijon mustard. Sprinkle each chop with the herbes de Provence and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast until the apples are soft, the parsnips are completely tender and golden brown, and the pork chops read an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 20 minutes more. Divide evenly between two plates, top the apples with the parsley leaves and serve.
PORK CHOPS WITH BAKED APPLES

- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Toss the parsnips, turnip and onion with the olive oil, rosemary, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper on a rimmed baking sheet. Arrange the apples on top, cut-side up; brush with 2 tablespoons apricot preserves and season with pepper. Roast until the vegetables and apples soften, 20 minutes. Switch the oven to broil; broil until the vegetables are golden brown, 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix the remaining 2 tablespoons preserves, 1/2 cup water, the Worcestershire sauce and sage in a large bowl; season with pepper. Pierce the pork all over with a fork; add to the bowl. Marinate 10 minutes.
- Remove the pork chops from the marinade (reserve the marinade); arrange on a wire rack set on a baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Broil until cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes.
- Transfer the marinade to a saucepan and boil over medium-high heat until thickened, 3 minutes. Whisk in the butter. Drizzle over the pork; serve with the vegetables and apples.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat the vegetable oil in a large, ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear until golden brown, about 1 1/2 minutes per side. Place the pork chops on a plate and set aside.
- Add the onion to the skillet and cook, stirring often, for 2 minutes. Add the sherry and the cider and cook, stirring contantly, scraping up any browned bits stuck to the bottom of the pan. Add the apples, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste. Lower the heat and cook for 5 minutes.

- Trim most of fat from chops andsprinkle on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Quarter, core and peel apples.
- Heat oil in skillet large enough to hold chops in one layer. Cook until nicely browned on one side, 2 or 3 minutes. Turn and cook again until browned, 2 or 3 minutes more.
- Continue cooking chops about 15 minutes, turning often. Arrange quartered apples around the chops. Cover closely and continue cooking 5 minutes.
- Transfer chops and apples to warm platter and cover with foil. Pour off fat from skillet. Add onions and stir until wilted.
- Add brown sugar and vinegar and stir. Add cubed tomato and broth. Stir to dissolve brown particles that cling to skillet. Cook, stirring, 2 minutes. Add any liquid that accumulated around the chops. Cook until sauce is reduced to about 3/4 cup.
- Pour hot sauce over chops and apples and serve.

- Using salt and sage, season pork chops evenly on both sides. In a large skillet over a medium flame, heat the vegetable oil and brown pork chops on both sides. Transfer chops to a shallow baking dish and save pan drippings.
- Peel, core, and slice apples layering them over pork chops. Drizzle the maple syrup over the apples slices.
- Sprinkle flour over the pan drippings that were saved and cook until brown, stirring occasionally. Add chicken broth and stir constantly until mixture is smooth. - Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Heat oil in large skillet. Saute onion in oil for 1 minute, or until tender. Remove onion and set aside. Brown pork chops on both sides in oil.
- Place chops in an 8x12 inch baking dish and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Cover the chops with the apples and cooked onion.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, cloves and water. Pour over chops. Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Enjoy!
