This delicious and unique flavor ice cream is perfect for summer.

2 ½ cups half-and-half
8 egg yolks, beaten
1 cup white sugar
2 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
2 bananas
¾ cup half-and-half
1 cup walnuts

Steps:

  • Heat 2 1/2 cups of the half-and-half in a large saucepan over medium heat until small bubbles begin to form around the edges. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Mix the egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl until smooth. While stirring, slowly pour the half-and-half into the egg mixture. Transfer the mixture to the saucepan and heat again over medium heat until bubbles begin to form around the edges. Remove from heat and return to the bowl. Stir in the heavy whipping cream.
  • Puree the bananas and 3/4 cup half-and-half in a blender until smooth. Add puree to bowl and mix well. Cover and refrigerate until cold, 3 to 4 hours.
  • Pour mixture into cylinder of ice cream freezer. (Refrigerate any remaining mixture until ready to freeze.) Freeze according to the manufacturer's directions. Stir in the walnuts. Transfer to 1 quart containers and freeze overnight before serving.

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 canister whipped cream
1 package (2-ounce pouch) chopped nut topping, available on baking aisle

Steps:

  • Peel and slice the banana down the center lengthwise and place in dessert boats or bowls.
  • Place peanut butter in a small pan and melt gently over low heat.
  • Scoop vanilla ice cream into bowls or boats on top of bananas, 2 scoops per sundae. Top 1 scoop of ice cream with melted peanut butter sauce, the other with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon, use about 1 tablespoon of honey per dessert. Garnish sundaes with whipped cream and chopped nut topping.

1/3 cup honey
2 ripe medium bananas
2 cups heavy whipping cream, divided
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dried banana chips, chopped
10 whole chocolate graham crackers, halved
3/4 cup finely chopped salted peanuts
1/4 cup chocolate jimmies

Steps:

  • In a small heavy saucepan, heat milk and sugar until bubbles form around sides of pan. Whisk in honey. Quickly transfer to a large bowl; place in ice water and stir 2 minutes., Puree bananas; add to cooled milk mixture with 1 cup cream, extracts and salt. Press waxed paper onto surface of milk mixture. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight., In a small bowl, beat remaining cream until soft peaks form; fold into banana mixture. Fill cylinder of ice cream freezer two-thirds full; freeze according to the manufacturer's directions, adding banana chips during last minute. When ice cream is frozen, transfer to a freezer container; freeze for 2-4 hours., To assemble sandwiches, spread ice cream onto each of 10 graham cracker halves. 1 1/3 cups whipping cream, beaten to soft peaks
2 medium ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Combine milk and honey in medium saucepan.
  • Bring almost to simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • Beat yolks until pale yellow.
  • Gradually beat in hot milk.
  • Set bowl into a larger bowl filled with ice (or cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the custard and chill overnight).
  • Cool custard completely, stirring occasionally.
  • Fold in whipped cream and bananas.
  • Process according to ice cream maker’s manufacturer’s instructions, until half set.
  • Add walnuts and process until set.
