Steps:
- In a large skillet, saute onion and green pepper in oil until tender. Add rice; cook and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add 1-1/4 cups water and hot dogs. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Add the tomatoes, ketchup and remaining water. Cover and cook until rice is tender.

HOT DOG FRIED RICE

- Bring a pot of water to a boil; prepare an ice water bath. Blanch the broccoli in the boiling water, then immediately transfer to the ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the oil and onions and saute until the onions are translucent and tender, about 5 minutes. Add the ginger and garlic and quickly stir-fry for about 30 seconds. Add the rice, hot dogs and broccoli and stir-fry 2 minutes. Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil and scallions.
- Serve topped with fried eggs, cilantro and Sriracha.
HOT DOG FRIED RICE
The thought of using hotdogs for fried rice may seem odd, but it is actually very good. Using Spam instead of hotdogs is also very good in this recipe.

- Place wok over high heat until hot. Add 2 tablespoons oil, swirling to coat sides. Add eggs, salt and pepper and lightly scramble. Remove scrambled eggs and set aside. Add sliced hot dogs and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil. Add rice; stir fry with hot dogs for 2 minutes.
- Add peas and carrots; stir to mix well. Add soy sauce ,green onions, and scrambled eggs; stir-fry until heated throughout, about 2-3 minutes.

- In a saucepan over medium heat, saute onion in butter until tender. Add celery, ketchup, water, lemon juice, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes. , Cut three 1/4-in. deep slits on each side of the hot dogs; place in a 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Pour the sauce over the hot dogs. Cover and bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until heated through. Serve on buns.

SURPRISE BARBECUE HOT DOGS
A family favorite for years. My mother learned this baked hot dog recipe in the Girl Scouts in the 1950's.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in onion and brown sugar and cook until onion is soft but not yet brown, about 5 minutes. Add ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a simmer. Remove from heat.
- Cut a slit through each hot dog and fill with cubes of cheese food. Place dogs in buns and cover meat with onion sauce, about 3 tablespoons each. Wrap in aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven until piping hot throughout, about 15 minutes.
