Classic pot pie gets a tasty makeover in this super-easy crescent-topped casserole.

1 container (8 oz) sliced mushrooms
1 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 can (18.5 oz) Progresso™ Rich & Hearty beef pot roast with country vegetables soup
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. In 12-inch skillet, cook beef, mushrooms, carrots, onion and garlic over medium-high heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in soup. Cook 2 to 4 minutes or until heated through.
  • Spoon beef mixture into ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish.
  • Unroll dough; place on beef mixture. Cut 3 to 4 vent holes in center.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until deep golden brown. Sprinkle with parsley.

1 pound ground beef
½ onion, chopped
1 (15 ounce) can spaghetti sauce
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 tablespoon salted butter, melted
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cook and stir ground beef and onion in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Return to medium heat, add spaghetti sauce and diced tomatoes, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  • Unroll crescent dough and arrange triangles over cheese in the skillet. Brush with butter; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden brown, about 20 minutes.

3 tbsp (45 mL) ketchup
1 tbsp (15 mL) prepared mustard
1 tbsp (15 mL) flour
1 tsp (5 mL) dill weed
1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
1 can (10 oz/284 mL) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
1 cup (250 mL) Green Giant* Frozen Sweet Peas
1 can (235 g) Pillsbury* Crescent Rolls
dill pickles

Steps:

  • Method: •Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). In large frypan, brown ground beef and onion; drain thoroughly. •Stir in remaining ingredients except crescent dough and dill pickles. Simmer gently for 5 minutes; do not boil. Unroll and separate crescent dough into 8 triangles. •Arrange triangles spoke fashion in ungreased 9-inch (23 cm) pie pan with narrow tips extending over pan about 2-inch (5 cm). •Press dough over bottom of pan. 1 boneless beef top sirloin steak, cut about 3/4 inch thick
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (16 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables (potato green bean onion and red pepper mixture)
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1 (12 ounce) jar mushroom beef gravy
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Trim fat off of steak, and cut steak lengthwise into 2 or 3 strips and then crosswise into 1/2" thick slices.
  • Spray ovenproof 10" skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium heat until hot.
  • Add beef and stir fry for 1 minute.
  • Remove from skillet; season with pepper.
  • In the same skillet, combine vegetables, water, and thyme; cook and stir for 3 minutes or until vegetables are defrosted.
  • Stir in gray and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat,return beef to skillet.
  • Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles.
  • Start at the wide end, roll up halfway, arrange over beef mixture so pointed ends are directed ends are toward center.
  • Bake 17 to 19 minutes or until rolls are golden.

1 cup frozen peas
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Steps:

  • Brown beef and onion in frypan and drain off fat.
  • Add all ingredients except crescent rolls.
  • Stir and simmer gently for 5 minutes, do not boil.
  • In an ungreased 9 inch pie pan arrange the eight crescent triangles in pan with narrow tips extending over pan about 2 inches.

1 (15 ounce) can cut green beans, drained
⅓ cup diced white onion
¼ cup chopped green bell pepper
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
½ pinch garlic salt
1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 large egg, lightly beaten

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Add green beans, onion, and bell pepper.
