Steps:
- In blender, combine ice cream, chocolate shavings and milk; blend until smooth.
- Into each of 2 large drinking glasses, spoon 1/4 cup of the hot fudge topping. Add milkshake to each glass. Spoon whipped topping on top of each and top with a cherry.

BOOZY CHERRY MILKSHAKE
Steps:
- Blend together the ice cream, amaretto, frozen cherries and almond milk until smooth, adding almond milk depending on how thick you'd like the shake. Serve in a chilled milkshake glass.
BIG DADDYS CHERRY MILKSHAKE
Steps:
- Add the ice cream, cherries with juice, cream soda and milk to a blender and pulse until well mixed, but slightly chunky. Pour into float glasses. Garnish with whipped cream and maraschino cherries. Serve with a straw and enjoy.
CHERRY-GLAZED BLACK BOTTOM CHEESECAKE
Here's the cheesecake version of the classic German dessert, Black Forest cake-made with chocolate and cherries on a chocolatey cookie-crumb crust.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 325ºF.
- Mix cookie crumbs and butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
- Beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating on low speed after each just until blended. Reserve 3 cups batter. Add melted chocolate to remaining batter; mix well. Pour over crust. Carefully spoon reserved batter over chocolate batter.
- Bake 1 hour 5 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim. Refrigerate 4 hours.
- Meanwhile, mix cornstarch and water in medium saucepan. Stir in remaining sugar. Add cherries; stir. Bring to boil on medium-high heat, stirring constantly; cook and stir on medium heat 2 min. or until sugar is dissolved and sauce is thickened. Stir in cinnamon. Cool completely. Refrigerate until ready to spoon over cheesecake just before serving.

This dessert combines the flavors of black forest cake - cherries, cream, chocolate - but takes much less time. I make it with canned sour cherries.

- Combine 2 tablespoons of milk and 3 tablespoons cornstarch in a small cup. Pour remaining milk and sugar into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Whisk in cornstarch-milk mixture, and cook until milk starts to thicken, about 2 minutes.
- Pour 1/8 cup cold water into a bowl. Sprinkle gelatin powder on top. Let stand until softened, about 1 minute. Add 1/8 cup of hot milk mixture to the bowl with the gelatin, and stir constantly until granules are completely dissolved.
- Remove saucepan from heat and stir in dissolved gelatin mixture. Cool milk mixture completely, 1 to 2 hours.
- Beat cream in a chilled glass or metal bowl using an electric mixer until frothy. Add vanilla sugar gradually, continuing to beat until firm peaks form. Fold into the saucepan with the chilled milk mixture.
- Pour cherry syrup into a small saucepan. Mix in 1 tablespoon cornstarch and bring to a boil over medium heat until thickened. Immediately stir in cherries and pour into a glass bowl. Pour cream mixture on top in a thick layer and sprinkle with grated chocolate. Refrigerate until firm.

- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- In mixing bowl, combine cherries, flour and sugar; toss to coat evenly.
- Place in 8" square pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
- Meanwhile, sift flour into bowl; add baking powder, soda, and salt; and cut in chilled butter with pastry blender or 2 knives. When pea-sized texture, add buttermilk -all at once- stir just to blend.
- DO NOT OVERMIX; dough will be tough.
- When cherries are finished baking, remove from oven, drop dough by large spoonsful over cherries, and sprinkle lightly with granulated sugar.
- Return to oven for 25-30 minutes or until topping is done and golden brown.
- Serve hot or cool with whipped cream.

- In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg and salt until smooth. Stir in chips; set aside. , For cupcakes, in a large bowl, beat the sugar, water, oil, egg, vinegar and vanilla until well blended. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into egg mixture until blended. , Fill 24 paper-lined muffin cups half full with chocolate batter. Drop a heaping tablespoonful of cheese mixture in center of batter of each cupcake. Sprinkle with sugar and chopped almonds if desired. , Bake at 350° for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cake portion comes out clean. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line muffin tins with paper cups or lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt until light and fluffy. Stir in the chocolate chips and set aside.
