Buffalo Pretzels, a fun twist on Buffalo Chicken Wings!

12 ounces pretzel rods ((1 bag - long rods))
1 cup Frank's hot sauce
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1/2 cup vegetable oil ((or canola oil))
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 ounce Ranch seasoning mix
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
  • Place pretzel rods in resealable bag, and lightly tap with meat mallet to break into large pieces. Do in batches if necessary. Pour pretzels onto a large rimmed cookie sheet or in large baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together hot sauce, butter, oil, Worcestershire sauce, Ranch, garlic, and onion until well combined. Drizzle over pretzels and gently toss pretzels to combine.
  • Bake pretzels at 250 degrees F for 90 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely.

1/2 cup celery, diced
2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1/4 cup monterey jack cheese

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the chicken breast, celery, light mayonnaise, and hot sauce. Divide the mixture evenly between the two pretzels, spreading to coat the top of the pretzel. This is easier if your pretzels don't have giant holes in them. Top with the monterey jack cheese, and broil for 4-5 minutes, until the chicken mixture is warmed through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

1 (10 ounce) bag medium pretzel sticks or 1 (10 ounce) bag whole wheat pretzel sticks
1 (1 ounce) packet hidden valley original ranch dressing mix
1/3 cup frank's buffalo wing hot sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300°F.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir in the hot sauce until blended. Place the pretzel sticks in a large shallow roasting pan.
  • Drizzle the butter mixture over the pretzels, tossing to mix well. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the pretzels and bake for 15 minutes. Stir pretzels and continue to bake until crisp, about 15 minutes longer (The pretzels will crisp even more as they cool.)
  • Store cooled pretzels in airtight containers for up to 2 weeks.

1 egg
1 ½ cups buffalo wing sauce, divided
¼ cup peanut oil
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sour cream
¼ cup blue cheese crumbles, or to taste
1 dash Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Using a rolling pin, crush Pretzel Crisps® until fine, but with some texture. Transfer to a clean plate. In a bowl, beat together the egg and one cup of the buffalo wing sauce, and set aside. Dip each chicken tender first in the egg mixture and roll to coat in the crushed pretzels.
  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat until shimmering. Add chicken tenders and cook, turning often, until golden brown on all sides (about six minutes total). Transfer to paper towels to drain. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, blue cheese, and Worcestershire sauce.
