2 chuletas de cerdo sin hueso (1/2 lb), con la grasa bien recortada
1/2 de hojas secas de tomillo
1/4 de pimienta negra
2 de aderezo italiano de pimientos rojos asados KRAFT Italian Roasted Red Pepper Dressing
1 calabacines, en rebanadas
1 pimientos (pimentón) rojos, cortado en tiras
1/2 taza de cuscús de trigo entero, sin cocer
3 de mermelada (preserves) de albaricoques (chabacanos)

Steps:

  • Espolvorea las chuletas con el tomillo y la pimienta negra. Calienta el aderezo en una sartén antiadherente grande a fuego medio. Agrega el calabacita y los pimientos; sofríelos 2 min. Haz a un lado los vegetales. Coloca las chuletas en el centro; cocínalas a fuego medio-bajo durante 3 min. Dales vuelta. Revuelve los vegetales; cocínalos de 4 a 5 min. o hasta que estén cocidas las chuletas (145°F).
  • Cocina el cuscús, mientras tanto, según las instrucciones del paquete. Incorpora las almendras; ponlas en 2 platos para servir. Retira las chuletas de la sartén y reserva los vegetales en la misma; coloca las chuletas sobre la mezcla de cuscús. Pon la tapa para mantenerlas calientes.
  • Agrega la mermelada a los vegetales de la sartén; cocínala mientras la revuelves constantemente a fuego medio-alto durante 3 min. o hasta que se derrita y los vegetales adquieran un glaseado parejo. Sírvelos sobre las chuletas.

4 pork chops (thick cut)
2 tablespoons adobo seasoning
orange juice (freshly squeezed from three oranges)
lemon juice (freshly squeezed from one lemon)
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 garlic cloves (smashed)

Steps:

  • Rub both sides of chops with adobo.
  • Place chops in a deep baking dish. In a separate bowl, mix together orange juice, lemon juice, vinegar, and garlic.
  • Pour marinade over chops and turn to coat both sides of chops.
  • Let chops marinate in refrigerator for at least one hour or overnight.
  • Preheat your grill and grill pork chops over a low to medium low flame. Cook each side for about 10-15 minutes per side.
  • The pork chops are done when meat is white and has reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees F.

1 lata (14-1/2 oz) de caldo de pollo sin grasa y reducido en sodio
1 taza de arroz integral, sin cocer
3 tazas de floretes de brócoli pequeños
1/4 taza de jugo de naranja
3 de almíbar con sabor a arce o para panqueques
2 de almendras, en rebanadas, tostadas

Steps:

  • Haz hervir el caldo con el arroz en una cacerola mediana a fuego medio-alto. Tapa la olla y cocina esto a fuego a medio-bajo por 30 minutos. Agrega el brócoli y revuelve. Pon la tapa; mantén el hervor por otros 10 ó 15 minutos o hasta que el brócoli esté tierno pero crujiente y el líquido se haya absorbido completamente.
  • Calienta a fuego medio, entretanto, una sartén grande antiadherente rociada con aceite en aerosol. Agrega las chuletas; cocínalas 4 min. por lado o hasta que estén ligeramente doradas por ambos lados y bien cocidas (160°F). Sácalas de la sartén; tápalas para mantenerlas calientes.
  • Agrega el aderezo, el jugo de naranja y el almíbar a la sartén. Haz hervir esto a fuego medio-alto; cocínalo 3 min. o hasta que la salsa se reduzca a la mitad. Suelta el arroz con un tenedor; ponlo en los platos. Añade las chuletas; pon encima la salsa y las almendras.
