BACON CHEDDAR CHEESE BALL SPREAD
After looking at many cheese ball recipes that didn't fit my family's tastes, I made one up to serve on New Year's Eve. Everyone loved and it was super simple to put together. I didn't roll my cheese ball in chopped nuts, but you could certainly do that or even roll it in additional crumbled bacon.

VERSATILE BACON CHEESE SPREAD
This came together as a modification of Recipe #270100 when I didn't have all the ingredients but wanted to use the bacon-cream cheese flavor. As the name says, its versatile. You can spread it on bread or crackers and toast it under the broiler. You could stuff vegetables with it to each raw or cooked. You could use it as a dip for vegetable or pretzels. You could form it into a cheese ball. You could spread it on wraps to make pinwheel appetizers. ... Cooking time is chilling time.

LINDY'S BACON AND ONION CHEESE SPREAD
This is a wonderful bacon and onion cheese spread (not dip) that is great for parties and year-round use. For Christmas, I shape this into a tree shape, on a flat tray. I sprinkle the trunk of the tree with crisp bacon and the tree itself with finely chopped green onion tops or chives. I have also shaped it into a cross for my children's confirmation parties, a Christmas stocking, and even a heart for a special Valentine's Day party. If you substitute creamy salad dressing for the mayonnaise it will not be the same. My mom tried that and it didn't turn out well. This is best made the day before and chilled. My family and friends all love this; it's one of those dishes that I have to make for every holiday and get-together.
