These cute cherry-topped cookies are as light as air and so easy to make. They're perfect for entertaining or most any time of the year. -Agnes Golian, Garfield Heights, Ohio

1/2 cup butter-flavored shortening
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
Halved maraschino cherries or candied cherries

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, cream the shortening, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well., Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Top each with a cherry half. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire racks.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
FILLING:
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 carton (12 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, combine the flour, pecans and brown sugar. Stir in butter until crumbly. Lightly pat into an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Bake until golden brown, 18-20 minutes. Cool completely., For filling, in a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, confectioners' sugar and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Carefully spread filling over crust. Top with pie filling. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

We've never been ones for making cookies from mixes but these are worth the changing of minds. They seem to just melt in your mouth. Remember, broken cookie calories don't count (these can be broken easily)! I hope you enjoy these as much as we have!

1 (17 1/2 ounce) package sugar cookie mix (Betty Crocker)
1 (4 ounce) package cheesecake flavor instant pudding and pie filling mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/4 cup seedless raspberry jam
3 ounces white chocolate baking bar, coarsely grated

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F In large bowl, stir cookie mix, dry pudding mix, oil and egg until soft dough forms.
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls. On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls 2 inches apart. Using thumb or handle of wooden spoon, make indentation in center of each ball. Spoon about 1/4 teaspoon jam into each indentation.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool 10 minutes; sprinkle with white chocolate.

24 miniature chocolate-covered peanut butter cups (such as Reese's®), unwrapped
½ cup chocolate-covered peanuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
  • Arrange crackers on the prepared baking sheet; top each with a peanut butter cup.

1 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 (8 ounce) cans Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon Powdered sugar

Steps:

  • In large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Add egg yolk and vanilla; beat on low speed until blended.
  • Unroll 1 can of dough into 1 large rectangle; press seams and perforations to seal. Press onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. Spread with cream cheese mixture.
  • In small bowl, mix pecans, brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. Sprinkle half the pecan mixture over the cream cheese layer. On lightly floured surface, press or roll out remaining dough into 13x9-inch rectangle. Place over filling. Sprinkle remaining pecan mixture over top.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly on cooling rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cover and refrigerate leftovers.

4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated cheese
1 tablespoon flour
salt
paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • In large bowl cream butter.
  • Separate eggs.
  • Add egg yolks, sour cream, grated cheese, flour, salt, and paprika. Mix well.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in gently.
  • Grease oven-proof custard cups and fill with mixture.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
