8 small to medium chicken legs
1/4 cup of vegetable oil in a spray bottle
1 zipping bag
1/4 cup honey
1/8 cup of seasoned salt
1/8 cup pepper
1/8 cup garlic powder
1/8 cup onion powder
1/8 cup paprika
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees (F).
  • Wash chicken thoroughly and pat dry. Place into a mixing bowl.
  • Spray chicken with vegetable oil.
  • Add half of the measured baking powder to chicken and mix thoroughly.
  • Add half of measured honey to chicken. Continue to mix until thoroughly coated.
  • Add one half of all measured seasonings to chicken and mix thoroughly ensuring all is coated.
  • Add flour and remainder of baking powder to zipping bag. Next add remainder of all seasonings to zipping bag. Mix flour and seasonings well within the bag.
  • Add all chicken legs to zipping bag and shake it thoroughly to ensure all chicken is well covered with batter.
  • Place each chicken leg into the air fryer, separately. All chicken should be in one layer.
  • Set air fryer to cook for 20 minutes. Halfway through cooking time turn chicken and spray again with vegetable oil. Cook for remaining 10 minutes.
  • Chicken legs are finished when internal temperature reaches 165 degrees (F).
  • Drizzle remainder of honey onto chicken legs.
  • Serve chicken while hot with your favorite side. These air fryer French fries are the perfect accompaniment!

2 cups ketchup
2/3 cup honey
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons finely chopped sweet onion
2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
16 chicken drumsticks

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, mix the first 8 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 15-20 minutes to allow flavors to blend, stirring occasionally. Reserve 2 cups sauce for serving., Preheat air fryer to 375°. In batches, place chicken in a single layer on greased tray in air-fryer basket. Cook until a thermometer reads 170°-175°, 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing generously with remaining sauce during the last 5 minutes. Serve with reserved sauce.

4-6 chicken drumsticks
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or a combination of onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, or dry rub)
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
t/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Use a paper towel to pay dry the chicken legs. When the chicken legs are completely dry, add the dried chicken legs to a medium bowl.
  • In a separate small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, lightly packed brown sugar, sea salt, and black pepper.
  • Add the extra virgin olive oil to the bowl containing the chicken drumsticks.
  • Sprinkle all of the spices and seasonings from the other bowl into the bowl with the chicken legs.
  • Toss all of the ingredients together until the chicken drumsticks are completely coated.
  • With the skin side down, put the chicken drumsticks in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 10 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • After the first 10 minutes of cooking, flip the chicken drumsticks over in the air fryer basket and cook the air fryer chicken legs for between 7 and 8 more minutes.
  • Your air fryer chicken legs are fully cooked when the chicken legs are no longer pink in the middle. A meat thermometer should show that your air fryer chicken legs have an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel and brush the skin-side of each piece with olive oil. Place chicken thighs, skin-side down, in a single layer on a plate.
  • Combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl and sprinkle half the seasoning mixture evenly over the 4 chicken thighs. Turn thighs over and evenly sprinkle remaining seasoning mixture on top. Place chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side up.
