Sugar Cookie

Here's what you need: unsalted butter, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, large egg, all-purpose flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, cream cheese, powdered sugar, chocolate hazelnut spread, fresh berries, peanut butter, mini pretzel, fruit cereal, mini marshmallow, graham cracker, chocolate chunk

½ cup unsalted butter, 1 stick, softened
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
½ cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 pinch salt
6 oz cream cheese, room temperature
⅓ cup powdered sugar
⅓ cup chocolate hazelnut spread
1 cup fresh berries
peanut butter
mini pretzel
½ cup fruit cereal
mini marshmallow
graham cracker, chopped
1 cup chocolate chunk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C). Line a 10-inch (25-cm) cast iron pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix the butter with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  • Add the granulated sugar, then the brown sugar, and mix until well incorporated.
  • Add the egg and stir until thoroughly incorporated.
  • Using a fine mesh sieve, sift the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt into the dough. Combine with a spatula until evenly mixed.
  • Spread the cookie dough in an even layer in the prepared pan. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, then bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and remaining ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  • Spread half of the frosting onto a quarter of the cooled cookie and the other half on the diagonally opposite corner.
  • Frost the other quarters with the chocolate hazelnut spread.
  • Decorate with your favorite toppings.

  • In a bowl, cream butter, peanut butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour until blended. , Spread dough onto a greased 12-in. pizza pan. Bake at 375° for 12 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows and chocolate chips. Bake 5-6 minutes longer or until lightly browned.

Customize your cookie pizza further by adding more of your favorite sweet treats to make your own decadent dessert masterpiece, or just stick to the basics and keep it simple. Start a new tradition and add this delicious cookie pizza to you next family pizza night.

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 bag (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons milk
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup M&M's® chocolate candies
1/4 cup shredded coconut, toasted, if desired
2 oz white chocolate baking bars (from 6-oz package), melted

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350° F. In large bowl, mix 1/2 cup butter, the brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla and egg until well blended. Stir in flour and baking soda (dough will be stiff).
  • Pat dough in ungreased 12-inch pizza pan or into 12-inch round on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool about 30 minutes.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, heat chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons butter and milk over low heat, stirring occasionally, just until chocolate is melted; remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar. Beat with wire whisk until smooth, glossy and spreadable. (If not glossy, stir in a few drops hot water).
  • Spread chocolate mixture over baked layer. Immediately sprinkle with pecans, candies and coconut; press lightly. Drizzle with melted baking bars. Let stand until set. Remove from pan if desired. Cut into wedges.

1 (18-ounce) tube prepared slice-and-bake sugar cookies

Steps:

  • Bake cookies according to package directions. Immediately after removing from oven, insert a lollipop stick into 1 end of each cookie. Place on a rack to cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, divide icing into as many small bowls as you wish to color. Mix desired food coloring into each bowl.
  • Ice the cookies in different colors and decorate with candy, and sprinkles.

1 (12 ounce) package real milk chocolate chips (or dark, if you prefer)
1 lb white almond bark, cut into small (1-inch)
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup crisp rice cereal
1 cup salted peanuts or 1 cup unsalted peanuts
1 (6 ounce) jar red maraschino cherries, drained, and cut in half
3 tablespoons green glazed cherries, drained and quartered
1/3 cup angel flake coconut
1 tablespoon oil

Steps:

  • Microwave chips and 14 oz almond bark in a 2 qt microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for 2 minutes. Stir. Continue microwaving 1 to 2 minute or until smooth when stirred, stirring every 30 seconds.
  • Stir in marshmallows, cereal and peanuts. Pour onto greased 12-inch pizza pan. Top with cherries; sprinkle with coconut.
  • Microwave remaining 2 oz. almond bark and oil in a 1 cup measure for 1 minute and stir. Continue microwaving 30 seconds to 1 minute or until smooth when stirred, stirring every 15 seconds. Drizzle over coconut.
  • Refrigerate until firm (usually 3+ hours). Store at room temperature. Cut into wedges. Makes about 12 large slices.
