Cinnamon Apple Swirl Bread Recipe

  1. milk
  2. sugar
  3. salt
  4. butter
  5. instant yeast
  6. warm water
  7. eggs
  8. all-purpose flour
  9. flour
  10. cinnamon
  11. apples
  12. walnuts
  13. powdered sugar
  14. apple juice


  1. combine milk , 1 / 3 cup sugar , salt and 1 / 4 cup butter in saucepan over medium heat , stirring until butter melts
  2. cool to lukewarm
  3. dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl
  4. stir in milk mixture and eggs
  5. gradually stir in enough flour to form stiff dough
  6. knead on floured surface until smooth and satiny
  7. place in greased bowl , turning to coat surface
  8. let rise , covered in warm place until doubled in bulk
  9. combine 2 / 3 cup sugar , 1 tbls of flour and cinnamon in bowl and mix well
  10. toss apples and walnuts in sugar mixture
  11. roll dough into 11x15 rectangle on lightly floured surface
  12. spread with 2 tbls softened butter
  13. top with apple mixture
  14. roll as for jelly roll , starting with 15" side
  15. seal ends and edges
  16. cut into halves
  17. place each half in greased 9x5" loaf pan
  18. cut about 1 / 2" deep with scissors into 10 slices
  19. let rise , covered until doubled in bulk
  20. bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until golden brown
  21. remove from pans after 5 minutes
  22. invert onto wire rack with waxed paper under rack to catch drips
  23. mix powdered sugar and apple juice in bowl
  24. drizzle icing over loaves
