I was cleaning out old plastic ware, and I found a special Cool Whip mixing bowl with 3 recipes printed on the sides. It must be 20 years old. I thought I'd save the recipes even though the bowl is destined for the feeding of outdoor stray animals. I have not made all these pies, but I believe I remember making the Lemonade...

(1) COOL 'N CREAMY CHOCOLATE PIE
1 3/4 c cold milk
2 pkg (4-serve) jell-o chocolate instant pudding
3 1/2 c thawed cool whip
1 chocolate pie crust
(2) STRAWBERRY YOGURT PIE
3 (5.3-oz) containers strawberry yogurt
1 c sliced fresh strawberries (may use frozen)
3 1/2 c thawed cool whip
1 graham cracker pie crust
(3) LEMONADE STAND PIE
1 pt softened vanilla ice cream
1 can(s) (6 oz) frozen lemonade, thawed
3 1/2 c cool whip
1 graham cracker pie crust

Steps:

  • 1. COOL 'N CREAMY CHOCOLATE PIE Place milk in a large mixing bowl. Whisk in the pudding mix for 2 minutes. Stir in Cool Whip until well mixed. Spoon into pie crust and refrigerate 4 hours.
  • 2. STRAWBERRY YOGURT PIE Place yogurt in large mixing bowl. Stir in the strawberries. Fold in Cool Whip until well mixed. Spoon into pie crust and freeze 4 hours. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before slicing to serve.
  • 3. LEMONADE STAND PIE Place softened vanilla ice cream in large mixing bowl. Stir in the thawed lemonade concentrate (do not dilute). Stir in Cool Whip until well mixed. Spoon into pie crust and freeze 4 hours. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before slicing to serve.

2 cups thawed Cool Whip Free
1 ready-to-use reduced-fat graham cracker crumb crust (6 oz)

Steps:

  • SPOON yogurt into medium bowl. Add whipped topping; stir gently with wire whisk until well blended.
  • SPOON into crust.
  • FREEZE 2 hours or until pie is firm enough to hold its shape when cut into slices to serve. Store leftover pie in refrigerator
  • You can slice some strawberries on top if you want.

1/2 cup Cool Whip lite frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 teaspoons grated lime peel
1 reduced-fat graham cracker crumb crust (6 oz)

Steps:

  • In 1-quart saucepan, mix water and lime juice. Sprinkle gelatin on lime juice mixture; let stand 1 minute. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin is dissolved. Cool slightly, about 2 minutes.
  • In medium bowl, beat cream cheese with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add yogurt and lime juice mixture; beat on low speed until well blended.
  • Fold in whipped topping and lime peel. Pour into crust. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
