Crescents, crab and cheese create a class act appetizer!

1 (6-oz.) can crabmeat, rinsed, well drained
1 (3-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
2 cans (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon sesame seed
1 (9-oz.) jar (about 1 cup) sweet-and-sour sauce

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Spray large cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray. In small bowl, combine crabmeat, cream cheese, onions and garlic salt; mix well.
  • Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 16 triangles. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make 32 triangles.
  • Place 1 teaspoon crab mixture on center of each triangle about 1 inch from short side of triangle. Fold short ends of each triangle over filling; pinch sides to seal. Roll up. Place on sprayed cookie sheet.
  • In small bowl, combine egg yolk and water; mix well. Brush egg mixture over snacks. Sprinkle with sesame seed. Discard any remaining egg mixture.
  • Bake at 375°F. for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm snacks with sweet-and-sour sauce.

3/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, crab, olives and chives. Unroll one tube of crescent dough into one long rectangle; seal seams and perforations. , Spread with 1 cup cream cheese mixture; sprinkle with 1/4 cup of each cheese. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side; pinch seam to seal. , Using a serrated knife, cut into 10 slices; place cut side down on a greased baking sheet. 2 teaspoons mayonnaise
1-1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1-1/2 cups shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
3/4 cup shredded carrot (about 1 medium)
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
2 green onions, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 can (6 ounces) lump crabmeat, drained
2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated seamless crescent dough sheet

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, mayonnaise and mustard until blended. Stir in cheese, carrot, celery, green onions and garlic. Gently fold in crab., Unroll crescent dough and roll into a 12-1/2x10-in. rectangle. Cut each sheet into twenty 2-1/2-in. squares., Spoon a heaping teaspoonful of cream cheese mixture diagonally over half of each square to within 1/2 in. of edges. ¼ cup vanilla yogurt
.167 cup white sugar
3 large strawberries, diced
1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated dinner roll dough

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking dish.
  • Stir cream cheese, yogurt, and sugar together in a bowl until smooth. Fold strawberries into cheese mixture.

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
8 oz cream cheese, 2 packages, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup milk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  • Open 2 prepackaged mini croissant rolls and chop them into 2 cm (1 inch) balls.
  • Spray a medium-large baking pan with cooking spray and place the balls in the pan.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the dough.
  • In a large bowl, whisk cream cheese until smooth and creamy, then add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla and whisk together until smooth.
  • Slowly the add milk to loosen the mixture without curdling the cream cheese.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, then let sit for 20 minutes (optional).
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the middle is cooked through.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before serving

⅔ cup blue cheese salad dressing
⅓ cup mayonnaise
1 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
1 cup minced onion
2 cloves garlic
1 large tomato, diced
salt and pepper to taste
½ cup grated Asiago cheese
6 plain croissants, split in half

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the crabmeat, blue cheese dressing, mayonnaise, bread crumbs, onion, and garlic. Gently fold in tomato, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Asiago cheese can be folded into the mixture, or sprinkled over the top when serving.
  • Spread about 1/2 cup of the mixture on half of each croissant, and top with the other halves.

3/4 cup seafood salad
1/2 cup baby spinach leaves
24 large capers
24 grape tomatoes

Steps:

  • Split the croissants open sandwich-style but not all the way, so they have a hinge at the back. Spoon in 1 tablespoon of seafood salad, then tuck 1 or 2 baby spinach leaves underneath. Insert 2 toothpicks into the top middle of each croissant and press a caper onto the point of each toothpick for crab eyes. To make crab claws, cut the grape tomatoes open from bottom end to stem end but not all the way, leaving them hinged. Stick a toothpick into each tomato at the stem end, then insert a toothpick with a tomato into the point of each end of each croissant. Arrange them on a serving plate.

I am not normally a fan of desserts...I'd generally rather have the main course twice. However, you can add cream cheese to just about anything and I would gladly eat it! This was given to me by a friend at work and has become a go-to recipe when I need something for carry-ins. It's good warm, cold, room temperature, by itself or smothered in a light fruit topping. I want to try it with fat free cream cheese and Splenda but haven't yet. If you do, let me know how it turns out!

2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated croissants
16 ounces blocks low-fat cream cheese (room temp)
1 cup sugar, plus
1 tablespoon sugar, for topping
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg, separated

Steps:

  • Preheat overn to 350 degrees.
  • Lightly grease a 9X13 baking dish.
  • Open and unroll one package of croissants (do not flatten) and lay at the bottom of the pan. (pinch together the perforated edges as needed.).
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and egg yolk until smooth.
  • Spread mixture on top of croissant.
  • Open the second package of croissants, unroll and lay on top of cream cheese mixture.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes (or until the top layer is very lightly browned).
  • Immediately after baking, brush the top with egg white and sprinkly with remaining sugar.
  • *I sometimes add a little cinnamon to the top as well.

  • Put crab meat in a mixing bowl and stir until crab has shredded into small pieces.
  • Add cream cheese, mix until well combined.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, mix until well combined.
  • Place in fridge until cold.
  • Serve cold on croissants, crackers, bread etc!
  • *The salad will not have big pieces of crab, when mixing it breaks it down*.
