My family has fond memories of traveling to my parents' house for Christmas dinner. After a 12-hour drive, we'd be welcomed in the door with this special seafood spread. -Barbara Biddle, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Yield 2 cups (8 servings).

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 can (6 ounces) crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
Paprika
Assorted crackers or vegetables

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients. To serve chilled, cover and refrigerate until serving. Sprinkle with paprika., To serve warm, spoon into a greased 3-cup baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve with crackers or vegetables.

1 lb crabmeat, picked over
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
3 -4 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Mix onion, garlic and olive oil and let stand to blend.
  • Meanwhile, remove any cartilage from the crabmeat.
  • Mix the crabmeat together with the onion, garlic and olive oil blend and serve with crackers.

1 (6 ounce) can crab meat, drained
1 (12 ounce) jar cocktail sauce
1 lemon, juiced

Steps:

  • Place cream cheese on large plate. Cover with crabmeat, squeeze juice of one lemon over the crabmeat. Pour cocktail sauce over top of the entire concoction.

6 1/2 ounces top quality crabmeat (fresh, canned "or" frozen)
12 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 small onion, grated
0.5 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce
dried parsley flakes

Steps:

  • Whip cream cheese with mixer.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, mayonnaise and onion; mix well.
  • Spread evenly on a serving platter.
  • Spread 1/2 bottle chili sauce over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Flake drained crabmeat over the top.
  • Sprinkle with dried parley flakes.
  • Serve with Frito scoops or with crackers as a spread.

1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cans (6 ounces each) crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed or 1-1/2 cups flaked fresh or 1-1/2 cups frozen crabmeat
2 hard-boiled large eggs, finely chopped
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Stir in the crab and eggs. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve with crackers.
