BABY LIMA BEANS AND CORN

Baby Lima Beans and Corn image

A good SOUTHERN DISH! This dish graces the table at buffets, potlucks and in homes in the south. Also known as "butter beans" and are grown in small home gardens. When purchasing a frozen bag or box of these wonderful beans be sure to buy the kind which say "tiny" or "baby" lima beans. These beans go well with any meat as well as fried chicken, ham or pork chops. The blended flavors of lima beans, corn and bacon drippings make anyone feel like they are seated at Grandma's table!

LIMA BEANS & CORN

Lima Beans & Corn image

My husband who loves lima beans found this on another side and decided that we had to try it. We all enjoyed it. It originally called for low sodium chicken broth and low fat sour cream, but this suits our tastes better. We always use frozen vegetables in this.

CREAMED LIMA BEANS

Creamed Lima Beans image

When my DH and I got married he requested Creamed Lima Beans. I had heard of Creamed Corn before but never limas. I soon found out it was a dish his great aunt prepared for him regularly so I dutifully learned to fix it too. She also used this sauce for creamed peas or carrots.
