Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 5-6 hours, until the leaves are tender.

- With sharp knife, slice about 1" off top of each.

- With scissors, trim about 1/2" off top of each leaf.
- With sharp knife, halve each artichoke vertically; then scoop out and discard the fuzzy center of choke.
- Place artichoke halves in your crock pot; add hot water and lemon slices.
- Cover and cook on HIGH 4 to 5 hours or low for 8 to 10 hours or until done.
- Drain and serve with Lemon Butter Sauce, as below.

- Combine the flour, salt and pepper in a shallow bowl or resealable plastic bag.
- Add beef and toss to coat.
- Brown beef in oil.
- Transfer to a crock pot with a slotted spoon.
- Gradually add consommé to the skillet.
- Bring to a boil; stir to loosen browned bits from the pan.
- Stir in onions, wine or broth, garlic and dill.
- Pour over beef.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours or until the meat is nearly tender.
- Stir in the artichokes and mushrooms; cook 30 minutes longer or until heated through.
- Serve over hot noodles.
