Rach's husband John gives the margarita a spicy & refreshing twist by adding in muddled fresh cucumber + jalapeño.

- In a cocktail shaker, combine jalapeño, if using, and cucumber and muddle to release juices
- Add tequila, St Germaine, and lime juice
- Fill with ice, then cover and shake vigorously to combine
- Strain into 2 ice-filled glasses
- Garnish with cucumber slices
JALAPENO AND CUCUMBER MARGARITA
Nothing tastes better than tequila and jalapeno; the cucumber adds a freshness that helps to mute the jalapeno's bite. The longer it chills, the more jalapeno and cucumber infuses into the tequila. Serve over ice in a salt-rimmed glass, garnished with cucumber slices.

Steps:
- Stir tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup together in a pitcher with a lid; add jalapeno pepper and thin cucumber slices. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Run a wedge of lime along the rim of each of four pint glasses. Spread kosher salt onto a flat plate; press glass rims into salt to coat. Fill glass with ice and pour margarita over the ice. Garnish with cucumber slice.

- Using a mortar and pestle, grind 4 slices jalepeno, 4 slices cucumber into 1/4 cup sugar. Pour mixture into a shaker. Add tequila, Cointreau and lime juice. Fill shaker with ice and shake heavily. Rub rim of 4 highball glasses with lime wedges and coat with salt. Fill with ice. Give the shaker one more shake and strain contents into each glass. Garnish with jalapeno and cucumber slices.

- Rub the rim of a lowball glass with a cucumber slice. Dip the edge of the rim into a plate of salt (or for a festive look, use Margarita Salt).
- Slice the jalapeño pepper into 3 to 4 thin slices. If you prefer a more subtle heat, remove the seeds.* (Wash your hands well afterward.)
- Add the cucumber and jalapeno slices to a cocktail shaker and muddle them (gently mash) to release the juice.
