Obviously not the real way but us dairy free can have it too and it does taste very good. Algeria is a former French colony, "Café au lait" and "caffè latte" are used as contrasting terms, to indicate whether the beverage is served in the "French" or the "Italian" way - the former being in a white porcelain cup or bowl, the latter in a kitchen glass and always made from an espresso machine, whereas "Café au lait" might be espresso or dark coffee based.

EGG-FREE, DAIRY-FREE, SOY-FREE MEATLOAF
This recipe is egg-, dairy-, and soy-free but tastes similar to meatloaf recipes that use onion soup mix. Chili powder and mustard add the tiniest bit of pep, without losing that classic meatloaf flavor. I use Better Than Bouillon Organic Beef Base as my beef bouillon paste and make my own bread crumbs from homemade bread to keep this recipe safe for my husband's allergies.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine the bread crumbs, onion flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, and celery salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add beef base, ketchup, and mustard. Mix well.
- Add ground beef and mix well.
- Pat mixture into a glass loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 for 90 minutes.
- Allow to sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

- Mix the rolled oats, salt, pepper and onion together in a bowl.
- Add ground beef and mix lightly.
- Put meat mixture into a 5 x 9 loaf pan.
- Spread ketchup over meat and then top with bacon.
- Bake at 350°F for 2 hours.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
