DAVE'S FAMOUS MEATLOAF
Delicious meatloaf - actually not Dave's, but is from the Quaker Oatmeal Company

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all ingredients in large bowl, shape into meatloaf shape and put in 9 x 11 glass pan. Bake for 50 to 55 min. until medium doneness. Let stand 5 min. before slicing. Makes 6 slices / servings.

DAD'S MEATLOAF
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, add all meatloaf ingredients and mix with your hands until combined. Do NOT overmix it! Divide the mixture between two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans and set aside.
- For the glaze, in a medium bowl, stir together the sugar, ketchup, and mustard. Brush the top of each meatloaf with a thick coat of the glaze. Transfer to the oven and bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the middle registers 150 degrees F, about 45 minutes.
- Let the meatloaves rest for 10 to 15 minutes, unmold, cut into slices, and serve.

- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with your hands. In a well greased 10" Dutch oven, pour the mixture and pack by pressing into the bottom of the oven. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes, using heat only around the circumference of the bottom and top of the oven so that it will not burn. Top with mashed potatoes and cheese or B.B.Q. sauce. Serves 6 to 8

- Heat beer and beef stock to a boil in a small pot. Take the pot off the heat and add the mushrooms. Allow mushrooms to steep for 30 minutes. Strain mushrooms and reserve mushroom/beef/beer broth. Roughly chop the mushrooms.
- Preheat oven to 425°F Put ground beef and pork in a mixing bowl.
- Heat butter in a small skillet and add the onions. Cook, stirring, until onions have wilted. Add the mushrooms and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, cook for an additional minute and remove from heat. Let cool briefly and add the onion and mushroom mixture to the meat.
- Add the mushroom/beef/beer broth, eggs, bread crumbs, parsley, chopped thyme, and salt and pepper. The mixture should feel very moist, if it feels dry, pour in some additional beer. Do not over-mix. Pack into a 2½ by 4½ by 8½ inch loaf pan and bake for 40 minutes.
- While meatloaf is cooking, prepare the glaze by mixing together the ketchup, honey, and mustard until well incorporated.
- Remove from the oven and add glaze to the top of the loaf. Return to the oven and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until glaze has browned.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow to rest at least 20 minutes. Pour out any rendered fat from the pan, slice and enjoy with your favorite Harpoon beer.
- Boston based Sebastians also recommends that this dish makes a great sandwich!

My boyfriend loves hot food . I came up w/ this recipe and he raves about it.We use our own hot sauce, it's loaded w/ habeneros, but you can use any kind.

- Put mixture in a greased or pam sprayed loaf pan.
- Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour,then at 375 uncovered for 20 minute.
