DEATH BY CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Steps:
- Prepare a grill for indirect heat. If using a charcoal grill, build the hot coals on one side only. If using a gas grill, heat one side only to medium-high heat.
- Whisk together the butter, both sugars, vanilla and salt in a large bowl. Whisk in the baking powder, baking soda and chocolate pudding. Add the eggs, one at a time, using a wooden spoon to mix well after each addition. Stir in the flour, chocolate chips and pretzels.
- Lightly spray a 1/2-cup measuring cup with cooking spray. Fill the measuring cup with dough, pressing it in until the dough takes on a biscuit shape. Unmold the biscuit into a cast-iron pan and repeat with the remaining dough until you have 8 cookies.
- Place the skillet over indirect heat, close the grill and bake, about 30 minutes (see Cook's Note).
- Remove the pan from the grill and sprinkle the cookies with flaky sea salt. Serve with scoops of frozen whipped topping.
- (Alternatively, you can bake these in a 350 degrees F oven for 25 to 30 minutes.)

Steps:
- Combine cake mix, oil and eggs.
- Mix well.
- Pat 2/3 of the mixture in bottom of greased 13 x 9 baking pan.
- In microwave safe bowl combine margarine, sweetened condensed milk and chocolate/caramel chips.
- Melt until creamy.
- Pour over top of cake mixture.
- Sprinkle remaining cake mixture over top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until brown.
- Chill 2 hours and then cut into bars.

DEATH BY CARAMEL BARS
These showy brownies are nice and tall with pockets of caramel goo. They are wicked enough on their own, but for an over-the-top dessert, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.

Steps:
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl; stir well.
- Combine flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add to butter mixture, stirring just until blended.
- Fold in chopped candy bars.
- Spoon batter into a greased aluminum foil-lined 13" x 9" pan coated with cooking spray, allowing foil to extend over ends of pan (Pan will be very full).
- Spoon dollops of dulce de leche over batter; swirl slightly into batter with a knife.
- Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
- Remove to a wire rack, and cool completely (This may take several hours).
- Use foil to lift uncut brownies out of pan.
- Peel foil away from sides of uncut brownies, and cut into bars.

DEATH BY CARAMEL COOKIES

Steps:
- To Make Filling: Pour the condensed milk into a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat until hot. Stirring constantly, lower the heat to low and continue to cook the milk takes on a golden color, about 20-25 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Transfer to a bowl and cover directly with plastic wrap. Set aside and let cool to room temperature.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Combine the flour, 3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar, and the salt in a bowl. Cut in the shortening and the butter until crumbly. Beat in the yolk and the cream. Mix to form a dough, adding more cream if necessary.
- Roll dough on a floured counter to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 2-1/2 inch rounds and place on ungreased sheets. Prick the top of the rounds a few times with a fork.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are light brown. Cool on sheet 1 minute and remove to rack. Spread the filling on one half and sandwich with another round. Dust cookies with confectioners' sugar.
