Double Chocolate Walnut Biscotti Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. flour
  2. unsweetened cocoa powder
  3. baking soda
  4. butter
  5. granulated sugar
  6. eggs
  7. walnuts
  8. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  1. preheat oven to 350 deg
  2. butter and flour large baking sheet
  3. in a bowl whisk together flour , cocoa powder and baking soda
  4. in another bowl , with an electric mixer , beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  5. add eggs and beat until combined well
  6. stir in flour mixture to form a stiff dough
  7. stir in nuts and chips
  8. on prepared baking sheet , with floured hands , form dough into two slightly flattened logs , each 12 inches long and 2 inches wide
  9. bake logs for 20 - 25 minutes or until slightly firm to the touch
  10. cool biscotti for 5 minutes
  11. on a cutting board , cut biscotti diagonally into 3 / 4 inch slices
  12. place biscotti cut side down on baking sheet and bake until crisp , about 10 minutes
  13. cool biscotti on a rack
