Easy Halloween Worm Cupcakes Recipes
EASY HALLOWEEN MUMMY CUPCAKES
Even if you're not an experienced cupcake decorator, these little mummies are super easy to make and my kids loved them at their Halloween party. You can use any dark-colored cupcake or muffin and turn them into a creepy mummy in a heartbeat.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line two 12-cup muffin tins with paper liners, preferable dark-colored or Halloween-themed ones.
- Combine cake mix, water, eggs, and oil in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer on low speed until moistened, about 30 seconds. Beat at medium speed until batter is smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 18 to 21 minutes. Remove from oven and cool tins on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove cupcakes from the tins and cool completely on a wire rack before decorating, about 1 hour.
- Spoon frosting in an pastry bag or a plastic bag with the corner cut off. Pipe strands of frosting onto the top and bottom of the cupcakes, leaving an oval eye shape exposed in the middle. Pipe 2 dots in the exposed middle for the mummy's eyes. Place 2 chocolate chips flat-side up in the middle of each dot for the pupils.

- Preheat oven according to cake mix package directions.
- Grease and flour a 12-cup cupcake pan.
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
- Pour batter into cupcake pans and bake as directed on cake mix box.
- Let cupcakes cool thoroughly before frosting.
- Spread cupcakes lightly with chocolate icing. Sprinkle cookie crumbs on top.
- Cut gummy worms in half (as many as you like).
- Put icing onto cut end of the worms and stick to the top of cupcakes.
- You can use as few or as many as will fit on each cupcake.
- Let icing set for 10 minutes and then enjoy.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place cupcake papers in muffin pans. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, cola, eggs, and oil. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping sides of bowl often. Fill cupcake papers 2/3 full with cake batter. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely on cooling racks before frosting.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine frosting, food colorings, orange extract and sifted powder sugar. Spoon frosting into a pastry bag or zip-top bag fitted with a 1/4-inch round decorating tip. Pipe the frosting on the cupcake by starting at the outside edge, circling twice and than working toward the center.
- Finish cupcakes by sticking 2 candy worms into frosting and sprinkling tops with crushed cookies.
