BOLD HONEY-BARBECUE BURGER

Grilled beef burgers are topped with honey-barbecue sauce, crisp bacon, onion rings, cheese slices, and tomatoes.

1 pound ground beef
½ cup chopped green onions
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons steak seasoning
4 hamburger buns
2 tablespoons melted butter
¾ cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon honey
8 thick slices bacon, cooked crisp
8 frozen onion rings, prepared according to package directions
4 slices Borden® American Cheese Singles
4 slices tomato
Fresh lettuce

Steps:

  • Combine ground beef, green onions, garlic powder and cayenne pepper; form into 4 patties. Sprinkle both sides with steak seasoning. Cover and chill. (These can be made several hours ahead.)
  • Brush buns with melted butter, set aside. Mix barbecue sauce with honey in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Preheat grill (medium-high heat). Grill burgers to an internal temperature of 160°F, about 4 to 6 minutes per side. Two minutes before burgers are finished, grill buns, butter side down, until golden brown. Place Borden® American Cheese Singles on burgers to melt.
  • Serve each burger on a buttered bun topped with 2 slices crisp bacon and onion rings, honey barbeque sauce, lettuce and tomato.

These simple burgers will be the hit of your summer party or weeknight dinner! Whenever you're grilling them, everyone will love Easy Honey-BBQ Burgers!

1 pound ground beef
1 Tablespoon minced onion
3 Tablespoons Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3 Tablespoons honey
3 Tablespoons BBQ sauce
3 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Using your hands, mix well to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the honey and BBQ sauce and mix well.
  • Separate meat into 3 roughly equal portions.
  • Using a burger press, press each portion into a burger patty.
  • Place the burger patties on a hot grill.
  • Grill on one side for 3-5 minutes, until the burgers release easily from the grill. Flip burgers over.
  • While the burgers are still cooking, brush the Honey-BBQ sauce over the top of the burgers with a [url href="http://amzn.to/2fmtLa1" target="_blank"]silicone brush.
  • When the burgers are finished cooking (160 degrees internal temperature with a meat thermometer), remove from the grill and place on hamburger buns.
  • Brush each burger with more sauce.
  • Serve immediately

1/2 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 can (20 ounces) sliced pineapple, drained
8 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Lettuce leaves, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into eight 3/4-in.-thick patties. , Grill, uncovered, over medium-hot heat for 3 minutes on each side. Brush with soy sauce. Continue grilling for 4-6 minutes or until juices run clear, basting and turning several times. , During the last 4 minutes, grill the pineapple slices until browned, turning once. Serve burgers and pineapple on buns with lettuce if desired.

  • Combine the ground beef, 2 tbsp Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ sauce, mayo, 1 tbsp seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix until fully combined, then shape into 8 round patties.
  • Use your thumb or finger to gently press an indention in the center of each patty. Season the burgers with the remaining seasoned salt. Grill on each side for about 3 to 4 minutes, until desired temperature is reached. Just before removing from grill, add the cheddar cheese on top of each patty.
  • Top each hamburger bun with lettuce, tomato, the cheeseburger, a tablespoon (or two) of the Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, two crispy onion rings and top with the bun. Enjoy!
