1 pound ground beef
1 package (8 ounces) wide egg noodles
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups shredded Colby cheese, divided
2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce
1 can (15-1/2 ounces) great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) Italian stewed tomatoes
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
1/8 teaspoon each onion salt, garlic salt and pepper
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions; drain. In a large bowl, combine the beef, noodles, oil, 1-1/2 cups Colby cheese, tomato sauce, beans, tomatoes, soup and seasonings., Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and remaining Colby cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

1 (12 ounce) package wide egg noodles
1 teaspoon salt
water
1 bunch scallion, chopped, white and some green parts
1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup small curd cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 cup four Italian cheese blend
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
salt and pepper
paprika

Steps:

  • Cook the noodles in salted water according to package directions, minus 2 minutes.
  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Saute the chopped onions and garlic in the oil for a minute over medium heat.
  • Mix the Worcestershire, Tabasco, cottage cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl, then add onions and garlic.
  • Drain the noodles, running cold water over them, then toss immediately in a large bowl with melted butter and all the other ingredients.
  • Pour noodles into a casserole dish, sprinkle paprika on top and bake uncovered for 20 minutes.

¾ pound lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, chopped
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dried parsley
½ teaspoon garlic salt
black pepper to taste
8 ounces wide egg noodles
1 (12 ounce) package process sharp cheddar cheese singles

Steps:

  • In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, parsley, garlic salt and pepper, and simmer over low heat for 3 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • In a 2 quart casserole dish, combine noodles and meat mixture. Top with cheese slices and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 pound grated Gruyere or Swiss cheese

Steps:

  • Cook the noodles in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid. Return the noodles to the pot. Add salt and pepper to taste, nutmeg, butter and the reserved cooking liquid. Add the cheese. Toss well to blend over medium heat. Serve immediately.

These homemade egg noodles are super easy to prepare and come with a savory brown butter and garlic sauce for added deliciousness.

5 large eggs
1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or as needed
1 tablespoon water, or as needed
½ cup butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
salt to taste
½ cup chopped fresh parsley
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste

Steps:

  • Pour flour on a countertop and create a well in the center of the pile. Place eggs in the center with a splash of water and oil; use a fork to whisk and bring dough together. Knead until it forms a ball.
  • Cut the dough ball into quarters on a floured surface and roll each piece out to 1/8- or 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into desired lengths and shapes.
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook until tender yet firm to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain.
  • Meanwhile, bring butter to a simmer in a saucepan. Add garlic and salt. Mix in cooked noodles and top with parsley and Parmesan cheese.

This recipe is similar in flavor to my chili recipe. I came up with it one night when I had a craving for chili. Because the kids will not eat beans, I substituted pasta and they loved it!

1 (12 ounce) package wide egg noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
15 fluid ounces water
1 cup red wine
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x14 inch baking dish.
  • Fill a large pot with lightly-salted water and bring to a boil; stir in the egg noodles and return to a boil. Stirring occasionally, boil uncovered until the pasta is cooked yet still firm to the bite, about 5 minutes. Drain well in a colander set in the sink.
  • Place a large skillet over medium-high heat; cook and stir the ground beef in the skillet until completely browned. Add the onion and garlic; continue cooking and stirring until the onion is translucent. Pour all of the tomato sauce, water, and red wine into the mixture. Season with cumin, oregano, and cayenne pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Mix the cooked pasta into the sauce; transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the Cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta and sauce.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and the sauce has absorbed into the dish, about 20 minutes.
