1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 pouch (7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cookie Icing chocolate icing
1 pouch (7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cookie Icing white icing
1 pouch (7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cookie Icing red icing
13 green or red Betty Crocker™ Fruit Roll-Ups® [from 2 (5-oz boxes)], unwrapped
52 mini brown candy-coated milk chocolate candies (from 12-oz bag)
52 mini red and green candy-coated milk chocolate candies (from 12-oz bag)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, salt and spices; set aside. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until blended. Gradually beat in flour mixture until soft dough forms.
  • Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely before decorating.
  • To Decorate Cookies: Using chocolate icing, pipe hair. Using white icing, pipe two small dollops for eyes; press 1 brown milk chocolate candy on each. Using red icing, pipe pea-sized dot for nose; press on 1 red milk chocolate candy. Pipe on ears and mouth. To make hats, cut fruit snacks in half vertically into rectangles. Fold rectangles in half, creating squares. Fold squares in half diagonally to create triangles . To create hat brims, slightly roll up 1 edge of each triangle. If necessary, gently pull and stretch hat to fit cookie. Fold hat tip down, at an angle, to meet brim (see photo). Using white icing, pipe small dot where tip of hat meets brim; press 1 red milk chocolate candy on dot. Let stand until frosting is set. Store in airtight container, using waxed paper between cookie layers.

1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
10 teaspoons water
4 teaspoons meringue powder
Assorted food coloring
Assorted sprinkles, candies and almond slices

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, beat cookie dough and flour until combined. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut with a floured 1-3/4x3-1/4-in. diamond cookie cutter. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake until edges are golden brown, 7-9 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely., In a large bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, water and meringue powder; beat on low speed just until blended. Beat on high until stiff peaks form, 4-5 minutes. Divide icing into portions and tint as desired. Keep unused icing covered at all times with a damp cloth. If necessary, beat again on high speed to restore texture. , Frost and decorate cookies as desired with assorted sprinkles and candies; add almonds for ears.

These fun cookies are based on the crazy spaghetti breakfast from Buddy the Elf!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (5- ounce) container Chow Mein Noodles
10 ounces white chocolate
1/2 teaspoon maple extract
1/4 cup dehydrated marshmallows
2 tablespoons rainbow nonpareil sprinkles
1/4 cup red and green M&Ms (less if you use mini M&Ms)
1/4 cup (or less) chocolate syrup to drizzle
1 chocolate pop tart, cut into small piece

Steps:

  • Line a large baking sheet with sides with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Place the chow mein noodles in a large bowl. Set aside.
  • Fill a medium sauce pot with 1- inch of water. Bring the water to a simmer.
  • Place the white chocolate in a heat safe bowl and place the bowl on top of the simmering pot. Stirring constantly, melt the white chocolate. As soon as it's melted add in the maple extract and stir until smooth. Remove from heat.
  • Pour the melted chocolate onto the noodles and stir to coat.
  • Using a medium cookie scoop, portion out the noodles and drop onto the lined baking sheet.
  • Immediately coat the noodles with sprinkles, marshmallows, and M&Ms. Place a Pop Tart piece on each.
  • Drizzle sparingly with Hershey's Syrup. You don't want too much!
  • Allow chocolate to set.

1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
ROYAL ICING:
1 package (2 pounds) confectioners' sugar
8 teaspoons meringue powder
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup water
Food coloring of your choice
36 miniature marshmallows
Assorted sprinkles and pearl dragees

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in the egg and extracts. Combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well., Divide dough into thirds. Shape each into a ball, then flatten into a disk. Wrap in waxed paper and chill in the freezer for 15 minutes or until easy to handle., For Santas: On a lightly floured surface, roll 1 portion of dough into a 10-in. circle. Turn a pie plate upside down over circle and cut around the edge with a knife; reserve scraps. Cut into 8 wedges., Place wedges 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Fold the tip of each wedge down. Tuck a scrap piece of dough (about a 1/2-in. ball) under the upper part of fold., For elves: Roll another portion of dough into a 10-in. circle. Cut in half; cut 1 half into 4 wedges and the other half into 8 wedges. Repeat forming Santas with the large wedges. Transfer small wedges to a baking sheet; fold tips down, forming hats., Roll the remaining portion of dough into a 10-in. circle. Cut into 16 wedges. Transfer to baking sheets; fold tips down., Bake at 350° for 10-13 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool completely., To decorate: In a large bowl, combine the confectioners' sugar, meringue powder and cream of tartar; add water. Beat on low speed just until combined. Beat on high for 4-5 minutes or until stiff peaks form., Tint icing with colors of your choice. (Keep unused icing covered at all times with a damp cloth.
