Ingredients

1 pound seedless green or red grapes, cut into small bunches
1 pint strawberry (2 cups)
1/2 honeydew melon, peeled and sliced
1/2 cantaloupe, peeled and sliced
3 medium apricots, pitted and cut in half
2 medium kiwifruit, peeled and sliced
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
Fresh white currants, if desired

Steps:

Arrange fruits on large platter.
Mix sour cream and brown sugar. Garnish dip with currants. Serve with fruit.

Here's a festive way to serve fruit at your next holiday get-together! Do not prepare too far in advance of your party, or the fruit will dry out. You can mix up any leftover or scrap fruit to make a beautiful salad to serve alongside this Christmas tree fruit platter.

Ingredients

1 pound green grapes
4 large kiwis, peeled and sliced
4 fresh strawberries, trimmed and sliced
½ cup pomegranate seeds
½ fresh pineapple, peeled and sliced
6 dried dates

Steps:

Create an outline of a tree shape using the grapes on a cutting board or serving platter. Begin at the top point of the tree and fan the grapes out into a triangular pattern. Create 3 triangular sections, each slightly larger than the last. Fill in each section with kiwi slices.
Arrange sliced strawberries across the tree shape to create a garland effect. Add pomegranate seeds randomly all over the arranged fruit to look like ornaments.
Place pineapple slices onto a cutting board. Use small cookie cutters to cut out a star shape and some several small ornament shapes. Place the star at the top of the tree shape, and decorate the rest of the tree with the pineapple ornaments.
Arrange dates at the bottom of the tree to look like a trunk. Serve immediately, or keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

Ingredients

1 head swiss chard or 1 head kale
1 bunch green grape
1 bunch red grapes
1 package dried apricot halves
2 star fruit, sliced 1/4 inch thick
3 bananas, sliced 1 inch thick
2 apples, red and green,sliced 1/4 inch thick
2 pears, sliced 1/4 inch thick
2 oranges, peeled and sliced
2 kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 fresh pineapple, sliced and chunked
1 pint strawberry
1 cup raspberries
1/3 cup frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup vegetable oil

Steps:

Whisk limeade and honey until blended.
Slowly whisk in oil until thick and smooth.
Dip bananas, apples and pears in mixture.
Line platter with leaves.
Arrange red and green grapes, apricot and starfruit in alternating groups in a circle around outside edge of platter.
Alternate orange slices and more star fruit with apple and pear slices in a smaller circle.
In the next circle, arrange kiwi, pineapple, bananas and strawberries.
Sprinkle raspberries over all.

Prepare the mango by making thick slices down either side of the stone. Score the flesh of each 'cheek' into a criss cross, then flip it into a hedgehog shape and use a knife to cut off each cube of mango flesh.
Prepare the pineapple by cutting the top and bottom (save the leafy top to include in your fruit platter for decoration if you wish). Stand it on the cut side and carefully cut off the thick rind. Cut long strips away from the hard core, then cut the strips into bite sized chunks.
Slice the kiwi. (Kiwi peel is edible. Keep it on if you wish for decoration and provide a bowl for guests to discard it, or just remove it before cutting.)
