1 (11 ounce) can mandarin orange sections, chilled
1 (1 lb) can queen anne cherries, pitted and chilled
1 cup halved seeded grapes
1 cup diced unpeeled red apple
1 (750 ml) bottle chilled champagne
fresh edible flowers such as violets or rose petal, to garnish

Steps:

  • Drain mandarin orange sections and cherries. Combine with grapes and apples. Cover and chill until serving time.
  • At serving time spoon fruits into saucer shaped champagne or sherbert glasses. Fill glasses with chilled champagne.
  • Garnish these elegant champagne fruit cups with a mint sprig, lemon balm, or fresh edible flowers such as violets or rose petals.
  • Makes 8 to 10 servings. Salute!

One of my favorite ways to make fruit salad. You can use any fruit you like. This is what I usually use when making it.

1 large mango, peeled and diced
2 cups fresh blueberries
3 cups fresh strawberries, halved
2 nectarines, unpeeled and sliced
1 kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced
2 cups pineapple chunks
1/2 cup champagne
1/2 cup honey

Steps:

  • Prepare the fruit and place in a large bowl.
  • Combine the champagne and honey in a small bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Pour the mixture over the fruit and toss to coat well. Serve slightly chilled.

1 pound seedless grapes

1 liter carbonated water

Steps:

  • Combine cognac, sugar and wine. Place in refrigerator overnight.
  • In a plastic container or ring mold, combine grapes, strawberries and carbonated water. Place in freezer overnight.
  • To serve, place frozen fruit mixture in a large punch bowl, pour in wine mixture, and then stir in the champagne.

2009-02-18 Preparation. Place fruit in large bowl and stir in sugar. Let sit for about 30 minutes to release juices and combine flavors. Spoon fruit into four or five dessert cups, wine glasses or champagne flutes. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Just before serving, top off each fruit cup with chilled champagne. Serves 4 to 5.
