Ingredients

1 cup sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen and thawed
2 bottles fruity red wine
1/2 cup orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau
1 Gala apple, cored and thinly sliced, a few slices reserved for garnish
1 slightly under-ripe Bartlett pear, cored and thinly sliced, a few slices reserved for garnish
1 small orange, halved and thinly sliced, a few slices reserved for garnish
1 small orange, halved and thinly sliced, a few slices reserved for garnish
1 tangerine, halved and thinly sliced, a few slices reserved for garnish
1 tangerine, halved and thinly sliced, a few slices reserved for garnish

Steps:

Combine the sugar with 1 cup water in small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook until the sugar has dissolved, 2 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the cinnamon sticks and let cool to room temperature.
Put the cranberries in a bowl and add the simple syrup along with the cinnamon sticks. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours. Strain, discarding the cranberries and cinnamon sticks.
Combine the wine, liqueur, and the apple, pear, orange and tangerine slices in a container with a tight fitting lid. Sweeten to taste with cranberry-cinnamon syrup. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours before serving. Garnish with fruit slices and serve.

1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
1/3 cup orange juice
1 (750 ml) bottle dry red wine
1/2 cup Grand Marnier
1 lemon, sliced into rounds
1 orange, sliced into rounds
1 lime, sliced into rounds
1/4 cup white sugar (optional)
8 maraschino cherries
2 cups carbonated water (optional)

Steps:

In a large pitcher or bowl, mix together the brandy, lemon juice, lemonade concentrate, orange juice, red wine, Grand Mariner, and sugar. Float slices of lemon, orange, and lime and maraschino cherries in the mixture. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor. For a fizzy sangria, add club soda just before serving.

1 (750 ml) bottle of red wine such as pinot noir wine
1 (750 ml) bottle of dry white wine such as pinot grigio wine or 1 (750 ml) bottle sauvignon blanc wine
1 cup sugar
1 orange, sliced
2 limes, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
2 cups sliced strawberries or 2 cups raspberries

Steps:

Mix wine and sugar until dissolved.
Add sliced citrus fruit, cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight is ideal).
Before serving add fresh red fruit like sliced strawberries or raspberries. Pour over ice and enjoy.
