1 pack (130g Agar Dessert Mix)
1 can (836g Fruit Cocktail, Chilled)
6-8 Maraschino cherries (for topping)
fresh fruits ((optional))

Steps:

  • Cook Agar Dessert Mix according to package instructions. I'm using a "Lobo" product from Thailand and here's the cooking direction. Empty the contents of this packet with 3 cups of water. If you want a little sweet add 2-4 tablespoon of sugar, to taste. Stir until the powder dissolved and bring to a full boil, while stirring constantly.
  • Fire off, pour into a mold or shallow container and cool to set, you can refrigerate it to firm faster. Cut the cream into bite sized cubes and open the canned fruit cocktail. In a large bowl, combine agar cubes and fruit cocktail with syrup and mix very gently.
  • Divide the agar and fruits into 6-8 dessert glasses with the syrup and top with cherry and serve. ( I highly suggest don't mix cherries into your fruits otherwise it will stain the agar. Place them on top when you are ready to serve them. )

800 milliliter Water
50 milliliter Milk
1 tablespoon Agar-Agar Powder
145 gram Granulated Sugar
2 Pandan Leaves
to taste Rose Pink Food Coloring

Steps:

  • In a pot, add Water (800 milliliter), Granulated Sugar (145 gram), Agar-Agar Powder (1 tablespoon), and Pandan Leaves (2) together. Stir mixture until boiling at medium heat. Turn off heat and stir for 1 minute, discard pandan leaves.
  • Pour one portion of the agar agar liquid (about 350ml) to another small bowl, add 2 drops of Rose Pink Food Coloring (to taste) into it and stir well. Add Milk (50 milliliter) to the remaining plain agar agar liquid, stir well.
  • Pour 100 milliliter of the liquid into the heart shape pan. Place pan in the freezer for about 1-2 minutes for the liquid to set. Take out the pan, use a small sharp knife and roughly scratch lines on the set jelly.
  • Then pour 100 milliliters of the rose pink liquid on top and place the pan back to the freezer for another 1-2 minutes. Repeat the same steps, white and rose pink liquid alternating until all liquid is used up.
  • Lastly, chill the agar agar jelly in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Remove jelly on to a serving plate and top with fresh fruits.
  • Serve and enjoy!

15 g agar-agar powder
200 ml coconut milk
½ cup dried mixed fruit (iced)
960 ml water
150 g sugar
food coloring (optional)

Steps:

  • Prepare the coconut agar-agar. In a small pot, boil coconut milk, 5 g agar-agar powder, 1 tbsp sugar, and 100 ml water together. Stir constantly. Remove from heat when mixture boils and immediately pour into 4-inch molds. Lightly tap molds on a hard surface to remove bubbles and leave to chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour until set. | Not just to be eaten on its own, agar-agar can also be used to make an interesting jelly-like layer on cakes and other desserts
  • Add fruit into the mold. Spoon fruit into molds.
  • Prepare the plain agar-agar. In a small pot, boil 10 g agar-agar powder, the rest of the sugar and water together. Stir constantly. When mixture boils, remove from heat. | For more colorful desserts, add a few drops of food coloring with the water and mix well. Pour agar-agar mixture into molds. 1/2 cup hot water
2 cups fruit juice
1 -3 cup of diced fruit (drained, with the juice contributing to the 2 cups being used)

Steps:

  • Put the cubed fruit into some small moulds. Little plastic wine tasting cups are a good size for little children.
  • Alternatively, one large jelly can be made.
  • Put the agar agar into a pan with the hot water, bring to the boil & simmer rapidly for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Pour the agar agar into the fruit juice & mix. Pour over the cubed fruit in the moulds & refrigeratee until set.
