OATMEAL PIE
This delicious pie recipe came from my mother. My husband especially enjoys it during the holidays. I have shared the pie crust with many others because it's flaky and so easy to roll out. We even use it at our children's school when apple pies are made for a fund-raiser.

Steps:
- Place a pizza pan (or similar) in the oven and preheat to 350 F. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs. Whisk in the corn syrup, honey, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and flour. With a spoon, stir in the coconut, pecans, and dry oatmeal. Place the unbaked pie crust on the preheated pizza pan and pour the filling into it. Bake 45-55 minutes, or until the center is set. (If top or crust is browning too much, lay a sheet of aluminum foil lightly over the top.) Cool completely before slicing. Serve with or without whipped topping or prepared whipped cream. ((NOTE: You can use a whole cup white corn syrup, omitting the honey, if desired.))
GRANDMA'S OLD FASHIONED OATMEAL
This isn't my Grandmother's recipe. I have had it over 10 years and don't remember where I got the recipe. I am guessing at the time it takes to make this.

OLD-FASHION OATMEAL PIE
This great pie recipe goes back over 100 years. The recipe came from my grandmother's grandmother who was living in Charleston, South Carolina during the 1860's. Family history has it, that during the Civil War, since pecans were in short supply in the South, oatmeal was substituted for the traditional pecan pie and the results were astonishing. Now served at every family gathering since that time.
