1 lb drained cocktail franks, sliced in halves
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 white onion, thinly sliced
1 cup dairy cream
2 canned chipotle chiles
5 tablespoons tomato sauce

Steps:

Place the halved cocktail weiners, the oilve oil and the onions in a microwave safe container.
Microwave them for about 3 minutes.
Process in blender the dairy cream with the chipotles and tomato sauce.
Pour over the weiners and microwave for 3 more minutes.
Serve.

1 lb beef smokies
3/4 cup chili sauce or 3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon grated onion
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 ounces Bourbon or 3 ounces whiskey

Steps:

Mix chili sauce/ketchup, brown sugar, onion, lemon juice and whiskey in saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Add weiners and simmer for 30 minutes.
These can also be put in a crock pot to simmer.

A sweet and savory treat for any get-together that will sure be a crowd pleaser. It's cheap and easy to make in a slow cooker with only three ingredients. I make this for any get-together and it is always a hit! I was a little unsure at first about the grape jelly concoction, but I tried it and have never done it any other way. It is so savory with just enough sweet. I always receive or over hear lots of agreement with the taste of the sauce. It always disappears at parties, and the next day I have cravings for these cocktail wienies. Try it for your next potluck, back yard BBQ, or any event!

½ cup ketchup

Steps:

Place hot dogs, bourbon whiskey, ketchup, and brown sugar into a saucepan over medium heat. Heat, stirring often, until the brown sugar has dissolved and sauce is bubbly, 10 to 15 minutes.

8 slices bacon, diced
3 cups minced onions
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes or 1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 lb hot dog

Steps:

Fry bacon & onion until tender/crisp.
Drain all but 2 tablespoons drippings from skillet.
Stir in tomatoes, salt and pepper.
Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add hot dogs, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Serve on buns.

3 lb (3-4 pkgs) lit'l smokies
1 c brown sugar
1 c whiskey or bourbon
1 bottle Heinz chili sauce
3 T minced onions
2 T fresh lemon juice
1/2 c BBQ sauce
2-3 T red hot sauce

Steps:

Cook smokies in crockpot on high until hot. Drain the smokies & return to pot. Add all other ingredients to pan & cook on stove at high until boiling. Reduce heat to simmer & reduce sauce to thicken. Add sauce into crockpot with smokies & cook on low until heated through.
