Steps:
- Grease 13x9-inch baking pan; set aside.
- Cut design out of each bread slice with 3-inch cookie cutter; set designs aside. Tear remaining bread into pieces; place into bottom of prepared pan. Layer with sliced cheese, broccoli and ham. Top with bread cut-outs.
- Combine all remaining ingredients in bowl; beat with whisk. Pour evenly over mixture in pan. Cover with plastic food wrap; refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Uncover; bake 60-75 minutes or until set and golden brown. If browning too quickly, loosely cover with aluminum foil. Let stand 15 minutes.

- Butter a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Whisk the half-and-half, Parmesan, eggs, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and a few grinds of pepper together in a large bowl.
- Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and simmer until crisp-tender, 3 to 4 minutes; drain.
- Layer half of the bread cubes in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups of the Cheddar, followed by the broccoli. Cover with the remaining bread cubes and pour the half-and-half mixture evenly over top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. - Butter a 2 1/2- to 3-quart baking dish. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, mustard, paprika, and salt.
- Place half of the bread in the bottom of a baking dish. Top with half each of the ham, scallions, and cheese. Repeat with a second layer of the remaining ham, scallions, and cheese, pressing down as necessary to fit in the baking pan.
- Carefully pour the egg mixture over into the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Pull strata out of fridge and let come to room temperature for 15 minutes. Bake the strata, uncovered, until puffed and lightly golden brown, about 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
