1 pound lean ground beef
4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
¼ cup sliced onion
1 ½ cups frozen corn kernels
1 (15 ounce) can cut green beans, drained
1 cup elbow macaroni
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon dried basil

Steps:

  • Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble, and set aside.
  • Add all ingredients (except noodles) to browned ground meat and simmer for 1 hour, then add noodles.

2-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups water
3/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons paprika
1 to 2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cold water
Hot cooked noodles or mashed potatoes

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, sugar, salt, mustard and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes. , In a small bowl, combine flour and cold water until smooth; stir into the meat mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with noodles or potatoes. Freeze option: Freeze cooled meat mixture in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally and adding a little broth or water if necessary.

  • Brown ground beef with chopped onion and drain.
  • Stir in undiluted tomato soup.
  • Season to taste with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Serve over rice.

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the water, carrots, celery and soup mix. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8 minutes or until vegetables are tender., Return to a boil. Add rice; cover. Remove from the heat; let stand for 5 minutes or until rice is tender.

1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
½ large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 ½ cups frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
½ cup water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon chili powder
salt and ground black pepper to taste
2 cups cooked brown rice, warmed

Steps:

  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir hamburger, bell pepper, and onion in the hot skillet until meat is browned and vegetables are soft, 5 to 7 minutes. Add garlic; cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Drain and discard grease.
  • Add condensed soup, vegetables, Cheddar cheese, water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic salt, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are hot and cheese is melted, 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve stew over warm brown rice.
