Pro cyclist and Maple Ambassador Hugo Houle prepares a winning breakfast, allowing him to start his day with nutritious oatmeal, berries, chia and maple syrup!

Number Of Ingredients 7

80 ml (1/3 cup) 0 % plain Greek yogurt
80 ml (1/3 cup) unsweetened almond beverage
80 ml (1/3 cup) oatmeal flakes
15 ml (1 tablespoon) maple syrup (preferably dark syrup for its robust flavour)
15 ml (1 tablespoon) chia seeds
1/2 banana, sliced
125 ml (1/2 cup) choice of mixed fruits or berries (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in Masson jar.
  • Refrigerate overnight.

1 ½ cups water
¾ cup quick-cooking oats
1 tablespoon packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon maple syrup

Steps:

  • Bring water to a boil. Add oats and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar and maple syrup. Let sit until desired thickness is reached, 2 to 3 minutes.
