1 oz pkg onion soup mix
0.7 oz Package Italian Dressing Mix
1 cup chicken broth
Optional: rice, noodles, buns or wraps

Steps:

  • Place your chicken in the bottom of a 4 quart slow cooker
  • Pour in your broth and sprinkle seasonings on top
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours
  • Shred with 2 forks and serve over rice or noodles or on buns or in a wrap

2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (4 ounces each)
1 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 cup stewed tomatoes, cut up
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cold water
Hot cooked pasta
Shaved Parmesan cheese, optional

Steps:

  • Place chicken in a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the broth, tomatoes, tomato sauce, green pepper, onion, garlic and seasonings; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low until chicken is tender, 3-4 hours. Remove chicken and keep warm. , Pour cooking juices into a small saucepan. Combine flour and cold water until smooth; stir into juices. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Serve with chicken and pasta. If desired, top with shaved Parmesan cheese.

4 chicken breast halves (boneless and skinless)
1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix, regular or zesty (see below for a homemade version)
1/3 cup water
1 (8 ounces) package cream cheese (softened)
1 (10 3/4 ounces) can condensed cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
1 (4 ounces) can mushroom (stems and pieces, drained)
1 cup rice or noodles (cooked)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Place the chicken breast halves in the crockery insert of a slow cooker.
  • Combine salad dressing mix and water in a cup and pour it over chicken. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the cream cheese and soup until well blended. Stir in mushrooms. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the chicken.
  • Cook for 1 to 3 hours longer or until chicken is cooked through. Take care not to overcook or the chicken breasts will be dry.

2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (4 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

  • Rinse chicken, and pat dry with paper towels.
