GOOEY BARS
A gooey bar for the chocolate and the cake lover combined!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg until smooth. Batter will be thick. Spread evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Next, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the layer of dough. Finally, beat the cream cheese, 2 eggs and confectioners' sugar together in a medium bowl until smooth. Pour as evenly as you can over the chocolate chips.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until the top is set. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into bars.

WONDERFUL TOFFEE BARS
This is a easy recipe, but better than that, they taste wonderful! Everyone that tastes them always wants the recipe. Try them once and you'll be hooked!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Line a 10x15-inch baking sheet with graham cracker quarters.
- Bring butter, margarine, and sugar to a boil in a saucepan, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes. Pour butter mixture over graham crackers and sprinkle with walnuts.
- Bake in the preheated oven until butter is browned and nuts are toasted, about 10 minutes. Immediately transfer toffee bars from the baking sheet to a platter lined with aluminum foil or wax paper.
- Melt chocolate chips in 2 batches in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each melting, for 1 to 3 minutes (depending on your microwave). Drop spoonfuls of melted chocolate over each toffee bar.

TOFFEE BARS
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Lightly butter a 9-by-13-inch baking pan, preferably a light-colored aluminum or steel pan. (Dark pans cause over-browning.)
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter, and cook until the butter foams and turns amber brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Pour the butter into a large bowl and set aside until cool enough to touch.
- Meanwhile, sift the flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt together into a bowl.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, or using a hand mixer, combine the brown sugar with the butter and mix until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla, and mix until smooth, thick and light, 3 to 5 minutes. (You want to make sure the mixture is very light and airy, like frosting.) Stir in the sifted flour mixture and mix by hand until incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it into an even layer, smoothing the top. Scatter the hazelnuts, pressing lightly to submerge them about halfway in the batter.
- Bake until the surface wrinkles evenly and turns nut brown, about 35 minutes. Let cool completely, at least 2 hours, before cutting into 2-inch bars.
GOOEY CHOCOLATE COOKIE BARS
Chunky chocolate and creamy marshmallows star in an ooey, gooey cookie bar.

- Heat oven to 350°F. Make cookie mix as directed on package, using oil, water and egg. Spread dough in ungreased 13 x9-inch pan. Bake 10 minutes just until dough is set.
- Meanwhile, heat jar of marshmallow crème in microwave uncovered on Low 30 seconds; spread over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with chopped cookies and chocolate candies.
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes longer or until marshmallows just begin to brown. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

JAYNE'S OH SO GOOD...TOFFEE BARS
Went to Hershey, PA (just got back home Wednesday night)...anyway, while we were visiting my son's 'lil fam my Daughter in Law made these and I helped!!! They were sooooo good. She is a wonderful cook. YES...we brought home hershey candy by the bunches..=;D While we were there both their daughters had birthdays. These were a big hit!!!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 dF and line a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan with foil. Then line the pan with saltine crackers in a single layer until bottom of pan is covered.
- In a small pot combine sugar and butter and bring to a boil. Once mixture is at a boil, continue boiling for 3 minutes. Mixture should be a deep caramel color. Immediately pour over saltines and spread to cover crackers completely. Bake at 400 dF, for 5 to 6 minutes. The crackers will look all bubbly.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and let sit a couple of minutes to melt (or set back in oven a bit to speed melting (or melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for about 1 minute) then spread it over saltines.
- After spreading crackers with the melted chocolate then top with chopped nuts if desired. Jayne used pecans, you can use any chopped nuts you desire (or no nuts).
- Cool completely before you break into pieces. Jayne set the pans (yes, we made 2-pans) in the refrig over night and we broke them into pieces the next morning. So quick, sooo easy and delish!!!
