JOE'S CRAB SHACK BLUE CRAB DIP RECIPE

Steps:

• In a small mixing bowl add all ingredients, except 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese and paprika. Mix well.
• Spoon mixture into a small, over-safe casserole-style serving dish.
• Place dish in microwave and cook on medium power for about 4 minutes, until cheese has melted and just starts to bubble.
• Carefully remove from microwave (the dish will be very hot!) and immediately sprinkle with 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese.
• Turn oven on high broil.
• Place dish into oven and broil just until the cheese on top melts to your liking. Watch closely and do not burn.
• Carefully remove from oven. Sprinkle with paprika.
• Serve hot (Be sure to warn your guests!) with chips, pitas, toast points and/or other "dippers" of choice.

• Blend in salt and paprika.
• Stir in onion, green pepper, cheese, and crab meat.
• Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes, until bubbly.

Place in a lightly greased small shallow baking dish and place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees until mixture bubbles, about 10 to 14 minutes. Serve dip with unsalted or very lightly salted corn chips. This appetizer will serve two to three or makes a great light lunch with a crisp salad. This recipe yields 2 to 3 servings.

Steps:

• Fold all ingredients together except 1 T Parmesan cheese.
• spread evenly into oven proof baking dish.
• Microwave for 2 minutes.
• Transfer to oven and broil till top is slightly browned.
• Garnish with Parmesan and serve with Tortilla chips or toasted sourdough baguettes.
• For a little more zing we add extra (about another 1 t) crab boil, be careful--it can add quite a kick!
