STRAWBERRY-KIWI JAM
Preserve the fresh flavors of summer with this Strawberry-Kiwi Jam recipe. Try the berry and kiwi fruit jam slathered on toast, a bagel, or a biscuit for a sweet snack.

Steps:
- In a medium bowl slightly mash strawberries. In a Dutch oven combine strawberries, kiwifruit, pectin, crystallized ginger, butter, lemon juice, orange peel, and salt. Heat on medium-high, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a full rolling boil.
- Add sugar. Return to boiling; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; skim off foam with a metal spoon.
- Ladle jam into hot, sterilized half-pint canning jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace. Wipe rims of jars; adjust lids. Process in a boiling-water canner for 5 minutes (start timing when water returns to boiling). Remove jars; cool on racks. Makes about 6 half-pint jars.

QUICHE LORRAINE WITH HAM
I think this must be the original quiche - the old standby from which all others derived. This is a really delicious dish.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Line bottom of unbaked pie shell with diced ham and grated cheese.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add onions and cook slowly, stirring occasionally until onions are soft. Spread over ham and cheese in pie shell.
- Beat eggs and add salt and nutmeg to taste. Gradually stir in hot milk and heat this mixture over a low flame until it begins to thicken. Pour into shell.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until custard is set and golden on top. Let cool before slicing.

KIWI, STRAWBERRY AND GRAPE JUICE.
I got this recipe from 'The top 100 juices' by Sarah Owen, published by Lifetime Distributors, Castle Hill, Australia. Sarah Owen says "All three fruits in this juice provide a massive infection-fighting boost of vitamin C and can help to shorten the duration of a cold. The kiwi fruit a also contain lutein, a phytonutrient known to reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease and eye disease. Both strawberries and grapes are high in ellagic acid, which neutralizes carcinogens. The tannins, flavones and active compounds in the grapes combine to make them energizing and strengthen the cell walls of blood vessels" You could make more than one serving, and serve with lemonade and ice in a punch bowl for a party if desired. I haven't made this yet, as I don't have a juicer, but if I ever get one, this will be the first juice that I make. Enjoy! :)

STRAWBERRY KIWI TARTLETS
Glazed strawberries in puff pastry shells, topped with kiwi sauce and home made whipped cream. I always see strawberry and kiwi paired together in drink mixes and candies. I wanted to make something that used the actual fruits together. This worked perfectly. Rave reviews!

Steps:
- Beat together the egg and water in a bowl. Brush the puff pastry shells with the egg mixture, and bake shells according to package directions.
- Melt the preserves in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, and stir in the strawberry slices.
- In a food processor, blend the kiwis and honey until smooth. In a large bowl, beat together the cream and sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fill each puff pastry shell with strawberries, drizzle with kiwi sauce, and top with whipped cream to serve.
