3 tablespoon cream of coconut
1 tablespoon white rum, such as Captain Morgan's
1/2 cup tropical juice blend, chilled, such as V-8 Splash
1 shot tequila

Steps:

  • In a small measuring cup, mix together the cream of coconut and white rum. Pour into a chilled martini glass.
  • In a measuring cup, combine the tropical juice blend with the tequila and stir. Pour into the martini glass over the backside of a spoon on top of the cream of coconut to create a layered effect. Serve.

1 (16 ounce) package coleslaw mix
8 green onions, chopped
½ cup butter or margarine
1 head fresh broccoli, cut into florets
2 (3 ounce) packages chicken flavored ramen noodles
1 cup slivered almonds
1 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
½ cup white sugar
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, toss together the coleslaw mix, green onions and broccoli. Set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Crumble the ramen noodles into a bowl, and mix with the almonds and sunflower seeds. Sprinkle the seasoning packets over all. Add to the skillet; cook and stir until noodles and nuts are toasted, about 8 minutes.
  • In a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine the sugar, vinegar, oil and soy sauce. Seal, and shake vigorously to blend.
  • Just before serving, combine the slaw mixture with the nuts and noodles. Pour the dressing over all, and stir briefly to coat.

The Mad Hatter's tea party is a fun and easy rum cocktail. It all begins with a tea-infused rum that only takes an hour to make and has a wonderful flavor.

For the Tea-Infused Rum:
1 (750 milliliter) bottle rum (Flor de Caña 4 Year Old)
3 tablespoons tea (T Salon Summer Royale)
For the Cocktail:
2 ounces tea-infused rum
3/4 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1/4 ounce ginger syrup
Garnish: lime wheel

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • In an infusion jar, pour the rum, then add the tea.
  • Shake well and let stand for one hour.
  • Strain out the tea in a fine mesh strainer and bottle the rum. It can be stored like any other liquor.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the tea-infused rum, lime juice, and syrups. Fill with ice.
  • Shake well .
  • Strain into an old-fashioned glass with fresh ice and garnish with a lime wheel.
  • Serve and enjoy!

1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, minced
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can chicken and rice soup
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup
1 cup water
1 egg
1 lb ground beef
2 slices soft bread, torn into pieces
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Melt butter in skillet. Add green pepper and onion and cook until tender.
  • Stir in soups and water. Heat to boiling. Then turn down heat and simmer sauce, stirring occasionally.
  • While this sauce cooks, make meatballs. Beat egg slightly in bowl. Add ground beef, bread, evaporated milk and salt and mix well.
  • Shape meat into balls about the size of ping-pong balls.
  • Drop balls into simmering sauce and cook slowly about 1 hour, or until sauce has thickened.
