Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a large mug and whisk with a fork until batter forms.
  • Microwave on high for 90 seconds, until toothpick or fork comes out clean.
  • Top as desired and ENJOY!

  • Mix melted ice cream, flour, and baking powder together in a microwave-safe mug. Stir in cocoa powder. Microwave until top of cake looks done, about 90 seconds. Top with vanilla ice cream.

Here is a quick, incredibly delicious, chocolate mug cake that you can make in under 7 minutes, and it is healthier than all other mug cake recipes I have seen, and we think better! It is perfect for the quick chocolate fix, or the late night sweet tooth indulgence.

3 tablespoons Dutch-processed cocoa powder
2 -3 tablespoons sugar (depending on your liking)
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon ground coffee (fine ground is best)
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 large egg white
1 tablespoon Hershey's syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon hot water

Steps:

  • In microwave safe large mug mix dry ingredients.
  • Add wet ingredients, except hot water, and mix well with spoon.
  • Add hot water and stir in until incorporated scrapping bottom of mug with spoon.
  • Cook on high in microwave for 2-3 minutes. 2 minutes 30 seconds is perfect in my microwave. Cake should still look a bit wet / moist, but be cooked through. Best not to overcook.
  • Let cool a few minutes and enjoy. Add you favorite topping if you like.

  • Add flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, a little less than ¼ teaspoon baking powder, and a pinch of salt to the mug. Mix everything well using a fork. Add milk, oil, and chocolate essence to taste. Stir until just smooth.
  • Microwave until firm, about 1 minute 30 seconds. Let sit for a few minutes to cool down before eating.
