This is a light, crisp cookie that tastes just like sugary maple syrup. The aroma that will waft through your house while these are baking is almost as good as the taste!

MAPLE WALNUT CRISPS
If you like maple, you'll love these dainty, sweet-and-salty crackers full of buttery, nutty flavor. If not, Mary suggests substituting corn syrup for maple syrup and vanilla extract for the maple flavoring. Either way, these snacks make a yummy, low-cost gift for neighbors and relatives! MAPLE CASHEW CRISPS
I haven't tried these cookies yet but they sound wonderful. This recipe comes from the "Hay Day Country Market Cookbook." It calls for maple sugar (not syrup) which might be hard to find in some areas. Prep time includes 30 minutes to chill the dough.
