THE EASIEST WAY TO MICROWAVE CORN ON THE COB
Cooking corn on the cob in the microwave couldn't be easier. Microwave with the husks on for four minutes, then cut off the bottom, slip off the husks, and that's it!

- Put the corn in the microwave: Place the corn in the microwave, do not remove the husk. Microwave the corn on the high setting for 4 minutes. Note that every microwave is different. If this timing over-cooks the corn in your microwave, reduce it to 2 to 3 minutes the next time.
- Cut the bottom off the stem end: Use a kitchen towel or pot holder to remove corn from the microwave (it's hot!) Cut off the bottom of the corn, stem end, about one row of corn in from the stem.
- Remove the husk: Slip off the husk and silk. That's it!

- Place the corn on a microwave-safe plate and microwave on high as follows:1 ear - 2 minutes2 ears - 4 minutes3 ears - 5 minutes4 ears - 6 minutes
- Allow the corn to cool untouched after cooking for about 5 minutes.
- Cut about 1 inch off of the end of the corn that has a stub. Don't cut the end with the silk showing.
- Grab the end of the corn with the silk and pull it away, rocking gently if needed to begin the process.

- instructions for shuck-on cookingPull off the silks at the top of the cob if they are soggy or falling off Cook on full power for four minutes, or four and half minutes for two or three ears, and five for four ears, rotating halfway through Carefully remove the cobs with kitchen tongs or a thick hot pad that to protect you from any hot moisture released by the corn Using a large kitchen knife, cut through the ear at its thickest point, cutting through the kernels, not just the stem to ensure it will slip off Wrap the corn in a towel and squeeze the corn out of the hole made when you cut off the stump. This has got to be the easiest way to fix corn on the cob! The system won't let me add that you will need 1-4 rubber bands also. (Cooking and prep time based on 1 ear.)

- Soak the ears in the husk for a few minutes in cold water.
- Take out of water,pull back husk and remove silk.
- Liberally butter the corn.
- Return the husk to their original position and place a rubber band around the ear to hold husk in place.
- Microwave on high using the following times-.
- 1 ear-2-3 minutes.
- 2 ears-5-6 minutes.
- 3 ears-9-11 minutes.
- 4 ears-12-14 minutes.
- Remove the husks and serve.
- No additional butter should be needed.

- Rinse entire ear of corn under water briefly. Wrap corn in a paper towel and place on a microwave-safe plate.
- Cook corn in the microwave oven until hot and cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from microwave and let rest for 2 minutes. Remove corn husk.
