This easy-to-make mocha recipe can be made in just a few minutes and will put a smile on your face!

1/2 cup (0.12 l) of whole milk
Single or double espresso shot
2 tbsp (30 grams) of chocolate sauce
Whipped cream

Steps:

  • Start by brewing your espresso coffee. I used a double espresso shot in this recipe.
  • While the espresso is brewing, steam the milk.
  • You can steam the milk with a steaming wand or heat it on the stove.
  • In a tall glass, add a tablespoon of the chocolate sauce.
  • Pour the hot espresso on top.
  • Give the espresso and chocolate sauce a quick stir.
  • Pour the steamed milk into the glass.
  • Top this off with a serving of whipped cream.
  • Finish the drink with a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

1 (18.25 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
4 eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup coffee flavored liqueur
½ cup water
½ cup ground pecans
1 cup white sugar
¼ cup water
¼ cup coffee flavored liqueur
½ cup margarine

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Generously grease a 10 inch Bundt pan. Place the ground nuts in pan and roll the pan around to coat the inside with nuts.
  • In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and pudding mix. Make a well in the center and pour in eggs, oil, coffee liqueur and water. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 4 minutes on medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Pour sauce over the cake while still in the pan. Let stand 30 minutes before removing from pan.
  • To make the sauce: In a saucepan, combine sugar, 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup coffee liqueur and margarine. Bring to a boil, then continue to boil for 2 minutes.

18g ground espresso, or 1 espresso pod
250ml milk
1 tsp drinking chocolate
large cup, 300-350ml capacity

Steps:

  • Make around 35ml espresso using a coffee machine and pour into the base of your cup. Add the drinking chocolate and mix well until smooth.
  • Steam the milk with the steamer attachment so that it has around 4-6cm of foam on top. Hold the jug so that the spout is about 3-4cm above the cup and pour the milk in steadily. As the volume within the cup increases, bring the jug as close to the surface of the drink as possible whilst aiming into the centre. Once the milk jug is almost touching the surface of the coffee, tilt to speed up the rate of pour. As you accelerate, the milk will hit the back of the cup and start naturally folding in on itself to create a pattern on the top.

  • In a blender, combine the first five ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Drizzle sides of chilled glasses with syrup. Pour cream liqueur mixture into glasses. Serve immediately.
