One 12-ounce bottle ginger beer
3/4 cup vodka

Fill 4 tumblers with ice.

Steps:

Combine the watermelon juice, ginger beer, vodka and lime juice in a large glass measuring cup or bowl. Pour over the ice, garnish with a sprig of mint and lime wedge and serve immediately.

Moscow mules are usually made with vodka, but by using mezcal instead, you get a slightly smoky twist. The smoky flavor is due to the underground ovens filled with volcanic rock, coal, and wood that are used to cook the agave to produce the mezcal. Use a good quality ginger beer, such as Fever Tree®.
