  • Cook in microwave for 1 minute 40 seconds. Serve topped with ice cream.

2 tablespoons melted butter or 2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons milk or 2 tablespoons chocolate milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 dash salt
2 tablespoons white sugar, depending on how sweet you like it
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
4 tablespoons flour
to make triple chocolate add chocolate milk, chocolate chips, and serve with chocolate syrup

Steps:

  • In a coffee mug, add water/milk, melted butter/oil, a dash of salt and vanilla extract. Whisk well.
  • Add cocoa powder, whisk well. Add sugar, whisk well. Add flour, whisk well.
  • Microwave for 60 seconds. Center should be slightly molten. Careful not to overcook.
  • Enjoy with a spoon. Careful, brownie will be hot.

1/4 cup (30 grams) flour
3 tablespoons (35 grams) sugar
2 tablespoons (13 grams) natural unsweetened cocoa powder (NOT Dutch processed)
Pinch salt
Tiny pinch cinnamon, optional
3 tablespoons (44 ml) milk, water, or coffee
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ice cream, whipped cream, or heavy cream, for serving

Steps:

  • Cook in the microwave: Microwave, uncovered, on high power for 1 minute. You may need to adjust the time for less or more powerful microwaves. If you don't know the power level on your microwave, start with 1 minute and continue cooking in 10-second increments until the brownie is done. For a 1000-watt microwave 1 minute is good; for 1650-watt microwaves, we recommend 1 minute and 10 seconds. After cooking, the brownie should still look a tad moist, not dry. Some wet-looking spots are okay; those will set up as the brownie rests.

1 tablespoon of melted butter
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 dash salt
1 tablespoon of almost any sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder (milo also works)
2 tablespoons self raising flour

Steps:

  • In a mug, add butter, milk, vanilla and dash of salt. Whisk well with a fork.
  • Add cocoa powder/milo, whisk well. Add sugar, whisk well. Add flour, whisk well.
  • Microwave for 60 to 75 seconds. Centre should be slightly molten. Be careful, the mug and brownie WILL BE HOT.
  • Optional: Sprinkle with caster sugar. Put the brownie in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to cool down.
  • Enjoy your brownie, peanut butter and nuttella always taste great with this brownie, you can also try it with icecream.

  • Mix all the brownie ingredients, and add chocolate chips (optional), with a fork until thoroughly mixed.
  • Make sure to scrape all ingredients that are stuck on the bottom and the sides of the cup...
  • Place in the microwave and heat for (see times below) making sure the brownie is still moist in the middle.
  • Approx. 1:45 (750 watt)
  • Approx. 1:30 (850 watt)
  • Approx. 1:15 (950 watt)
  • Note: I have only managed to test at 850 watts and the above are just estimates.
  • Leave for 2 minutes to continue to cook and cool down a little bit.
  • Add the ice-cream to the top and serve!
