CHOCOLATE SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 325 °F. Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
• Using an electric mixer, cream together the butter, sour cream and sugar. Add the eggs, 2 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla.
• In another bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and cocoa. Add 1/2 the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, beat well, add the remaining 1/2 flour mixture, and continue to beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Continue to bake for an additional 15 minutes if necessary, but do not open the oven to check the cake for at least 1 hour.

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
• Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cocoa and set aside.
• Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, shortening, and sugar until fluffy.
• Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition. Add flour and buttermilk alternately to butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla and mix well.
• Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 1 3/4 hours, or until cake is done.
• Remove from oven and allow cake to cool in pan for 10 minutes. Invert onto cake plate and serve.

CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease/spray a 10-inch Bundt pan.
• Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla.
• In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and cocoa. Add about half of the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat well. Add remaining flour mixture and beat well for about 2 minutes.
• Pour batter into Bundt pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
