AIR-FRYER POTATO CHIPS

- Preheat air fryer to 360°. Using a mandoline or vegetable peeler, cut potatoes into very thin slices. Transfer to a large bowl; add enough ice water to cover. Soak for 15 minutes; drain. Add more ice water and soak another 15 minutes., Drain potatoes; place on towels and pat dry. Spritz potatoes with cooking spray; sprinkle with salt. In batches, place potato slices in a single layer on tray in greased air-fryer basket. Cook until crisp and golden brown, 15-17 minutes, stirring and turning every 5-7 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.

AIR FRYER APPLE CRISP
Nothing screams fall like warm apple crisp! You can use any variety of apples that you like, but I prefer a mixture of tart (Granny Smith or MacIntosh) and sweet (Honeycrisp or Fuji). Using your air fryer is perfect for a small portion! Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Steps:
- Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) according to manufacturer's instructions. Butter a small oven-safe dish that will fit into the air fryer.
- Combine apples, water, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl. Transfer into the prepared dish and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- Place the dish inside the air fryer and set the timer for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and stir. Replace foil and set timer for another 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter in a small bowl and mix with a fork into a crumbly topping.
- Open the air fryer and remove the foil. Sprinkle the topping on top of the apples. Close air fryer and set timer for 5 minutes. Remove the apple crisp from the air fryer and cool slightly.

Steps:
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 F / 180C.
- Thinly slice the apples using either a mandolin or a sharp knife.
- Add apples to bowl and combine with cinnamon and salt.
- Transfer half of the spiced apple slices to the air fryer basket, arranging in a single layer.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning and flattening them at least 2 times during the cooking process.
- Remove the cooked apples chips and then repeat with the rest of the apple slices.
- Preheat oven to 225 F / 110 C.
- Thinly slice the apples using either a mandolin or a sharp knife.
- Add apples to bowl and combine with cinnamon and salt.
- Arrange slices on a metal baking sheet.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes until apples are dried and edges curl up.
- Using a spatula, transfer these onto a wire rack until fully cooled and crispy.

PERFECT AIR FRYER APPLE CHIPS
Dehydrated apple chips in the air fryer is so easy and fast. What use to take hours in the oven or dehydrator can be done in less than 20 minutes. You'll be making these healthy snacks all the time!

- Preheat the airfryer to 320 degrees.
- Thoroughly wash the apples. You do not need to peel the apples, but you can if you want to. You can also core the apple, but again, it's not necessary. Thinly slice the apples, they should be about 1/8th of an inch thick.
- Optional step: Coat the apples in a little bit of lemon juice to prevent browning. You can also sprinkle the apples with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.
- Lay out the apples on the air fryer trays or the bottom of the air fryer basket. Try to not overlap the apples too much. When the air fryer is up to heat, add the apples in a cook for 5 minutes.
- Take the apples out and flip them over. This prevents sticking and promotes even dehydrating. If you have trays, rotate the trays from top and bottom.Cook for 5 minutes more.
- Check your apple chips and bake 2-10 minutes* longer. They are done when they are hardened and have just a little bit of flexibility. They will crisp up as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container to prevent softening.

- Slice an apple using a mandoline slicer (preferred method) or a knife, making slices about 1/8 of an inch thick. Remove seeds and stems from middle slices. Toss apple slices in a bowl with cinnamon and oil. I prefer to add the cinnamon in small dashes to get some on every apple slice, instead of dumping it all on one apple. In the same way, I prefer to spray the oil lightly over the top, stir, and then give another light spray to try and disperse the oil evenly. Preheat your air fryer for about 2 minutes at 300F.
- Place all the apple slices into the air fryer basket. Cook at 300F for 20-25 minutes, flipping and rotating apples every 5 minutes. Make sure slices in the middle of the pile are rotated out and all slices are exposed to the hot air at some point. Continue cooking at this temperature until the apples appear completely dried out, with no more shiny or “wet” spots remaining. The edges of the chips will begin to shrivel. If your chips are burning at all during this drying phase, lower the temperature of the air fryer by 25 degrees F.
- Once the apple slices appear completely dry, increase the air fryer temperature to 325F. Check, flip and shake the apple chips every 90 seconds to 2 minutes. Chips will take 4-8 minutes total to crisp up, depending on thickness and amount. (If they’re cooking too slowly, up the temp by 10 degrees. If they’re cooking too quickly, lower the temp by 10 degrees.) The chips will begin to fly around the inside of the air fryer during this phase. They will begin to curl and gain color quickly. Remove any chips that are browning quicker than others.
- Let the chips cool for at least 5 minutes and then enjoy! For maximum crispiness, enjoy the apple chips 10-20 minutes after they come out of the air fryer. They will last up to 5 days in a container at room temperature but will become soft overnight.
