½ cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
  • In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.
  • To Make Frosting: Combine 3 tablespoons softened butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 cup confectioners' sugar. Stir until smooth. Frost brownies while they are still warm.

1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup butter, softened
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup crushed pineapple (well drained)
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Combine everything except pineapple, chocolate and nuts. Put half of the dough in a small bowl. To one half, add the pineapple and mix well. To the other half, add the chocolate and walnuts, and mix well.
  • Spread chocolate mixture in bottom of greased 13x9 pan. Spread pineapple mixture over the chocolate layer. Use a butter knife to cut through the layers and marbelize.
  • Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.

1/2 cup butter
1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups sugar plus 1/2 cup
1 1/3 cups unbleached flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract plus 2 teaspoons
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs plus 1 egg
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 cups shredded sweetened coconut
1 cup chopped mix of roasted and salted macadamias, cashews, and almonds
1 cup canned pineapple tidbits

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Lightly grease the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch pan.
  • In a double boiler or in a large microwave-safe bowl in the microwave oven, melt and stir together butter and chocolate chips. To the chocolate mixture add, 1 1/2 cups sugar, flour, 1 teaspoon vanilla, baking powder, salt, 4 eggs, and mix together well.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the cream cheese, 2 teaspoons vanilla, 1 egg, 1/2 cup sugar, and the coconut.
  • To assemble: layer half of the chocolate batter into the pan. Sprinkle half the nuts and pineapple on top of the batter. Dollop the cream cheese mixture on top, and spread it out across the top. Mix the rest of the nuts and pineapple into the remaining chocolate batter, and pour it over top of the cream cheese mix.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes (check after 35 minutes). The top should be lightly crusted and the edges lightly browned and beginning to pull from the sides of the pan. Cool completely in pan before cutting.

1/2 cup shortening
2 unsweetened chocolate squares
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, well drained, juices reserved
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
3 tablespoons soft butter
2 tablespoons pineapple, drained
1 tablespoon pineapple juice (approximately)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F Grease 8-inch square pan.
  • Melt shortening and chocolate in saucepan, then remove from heat.
  • Add sugar. Stir in eggs, pineapple and vanilla. Stir until blended.
  • Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and blend well.
  • Add nuts. spoon into 8-inch square pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake 35-40 minutes until done at edges - slightly soft in center. Cool in pan. Spread with icing.
  • ICING: Stir together all ingredients, adding pineapple juice in small amounts, as needed to make a soft spreadable icing. If a little more is needed to make the icing spreadable, add it a few drops at a time.

1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup white sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
¼ cup vegetable oil
½ cup water
⅓ cup honey, warmed slightly
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ teaspoons distilled white vinegar
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch pan.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa, sugar and baking soda. Make a well in the center and pour in the oil, water, honey, vanilla and vinegar; mix well. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until brownies spring back when lightly touched. Let cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
